Im Married!!

We got married on Saturday, it was the best day of my life!
The night before the wedding, my Husband slept over at his friends and I stayed at our place. I was trying to go to sleep and just started feeling really crappy- I felt like I was getting the flu and knew the next day I would be full on sick- I texted my soon to be husband in the middle of the night at 3am and he went to the 24hr drugstore and came by with a bag of drugs including buckleys cold fx and cough drops ect for me. The next day I woke up feeling fine! I think the cold fx really worked for me! Soo I woke up feeling good until I looked outside, the sky was dark and gloomy and it was so windy- not good for an outdoor ceremony!! I didnt freak out though, continued getting ready, hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. We did have a backup but it wasnt ideal. Somehow I knew it would work out though and wasnt too worried. Went and got my hair done with my girls and got ready in our hotel room. About an hr before the wedding the clouds were beggining to break and the sun was shining through. By the time we got in the limo the weather was absolutely beautiful! We were so lucky! We got there 5 mins late- not bad for someone who is always late! I was so nervous but so excited! My 8 month old daughter was pulled down the aisle by my 6yr old ring bearer cousin in a decorated wagon with my other flower girl who is the ring bearers 4 yr old sister, the girls wore fuschia princess poofy dresses, it was so cute the wagon was just filled with pink dress. I wasnt sure if the one flower girl was going to cooperate as she is really stubborn- ie: insisting on wearing the same outfit everyday. She ended up wearing her pink t shirt underneath the dress, which was fine by me! I walked down the aisle with my dad to the song marry me by train. I normally dont get emotional when Im happy but I was teary eyed when I saw my husband. He was really handsome, I am a lucky girl! When we said our vows I was really emotional and let out a couple tears, the best man and groomsmen said I almost broke them all down to tears with them watching me haha! My man was strong and didnt cry but he said he was really holding back! My daughter was really well behaved throughout the ceremony and let out only one little peep. The ceremony was really perfect, I really couldnt ask for better! We did our receiving line and family pics at the park then spent the next few hrs travelling to locations and taking pictures. It was really a lot of fun hanging out with the bridal party in our limo and the guys were really such great sports taking pictures all day long! I was soo nervous for the reception! Our MC had only gotten the guideline the night before and I made some last minute timeline switches and couldnt think straight about what goes when. I was worried for nothing though because it all turned out well, it was a bit offf timing wise but it was such a relaxed atmosphere no one cared or noticed really. After dinner I did my speech and felt a lot calmer, we did the cake cutting, bouquet toss and shoe game and then first dance, father daughter dance and mother son dance and then the party really started! We had only about 80 ppl but the dancefloor was hopping all night! The DJ was really great and everyone had such a great time! I had so much fun! The room size was perfect! We spent a lot of time decorating and I was actually told that the night before, after it was all decorated, someone who worked for the hall as an events coordinator came by and took some pictures and said it was the nicest she has ever seen it decorated in all the time that she has worked there! I will try and get some pictures of the reception decor up later! I want to say thank you to all the brides on here who gave me inspiration and support, I love how this website makes it so easy for brides from all over the world to come together and help eachother in the wedding planning process. I will miss it in some ways but in others I am just so happy its done with and I can move on to married life with my husband! Cant believe I can count the days left till our wedding on my fingers!! I think I got most things taken care of, there are a few loose end I need to tie up but things are coming along nicely. Getting really excited, cant wait to share pics of the big day! :)

Receiving line @ Reception
I would really like to have the grand entrance where the MC announces us for the first time as mr and mrs... We are getting to the reception after everyone else is there as we are haivng a cocktail hr for the hr before. I also would like to have a receiving line at the reception, can someone tell me how this could work, I have only been to weddings with the line after the ceremony, which makes sense to me but we really need to fill in some time before dinner at the reception.
When we first come in, could the MC introduce each member of the party and say a little sentence about how they know us and then we could all go to stand in a line and the mothers/fathers could join us? Then our guests would just start going through the line?? Or would that just not work logistically? |

Wedding Music And Songs
Music for walking down the aisle.
I want to walk down the aisle to the song Marry Me by Train but Im not sure if the whole bridal party should walk down to it then me at the end or if I should have two songs and have marry me start playing just as I start to walk down the aisle. I havent been to many weddings, I cant think of what the norm is. What would work best?

Wedding Hair Style
Hair trial today/ 1 month to go!!
My wedding is only 1 month away!!! I am feeling soo excited but just as equally stressed!
Heres what she did for my hair trial, I like it but I think I need a little more Oomph! I think im going to look for some clip in extensions. It was sure expensive! $62! And then I tipped her $15, and kicked myself later because I remembered you dont have to tip if they own the salon, is that right? I guess since she still needs to do a good job on the wedding day, its worth the $15 to keep her happy though! Sorry, my mirror has paint speckles on it, makes it look like I have sparkles.. or really bad dandruff in some pics! lol! |

DIY Wedding
Wedding Signs
This is my DIY directional sign, I just need to put them on a post together now. Im going to put this at the entrance to the park where we are having our ceremony then have some one move it to the Reception location later on. After the wedding I want to hang the top plaque on my wall as a wedding momento.

Need Spa Robes!!
I wanted to do these personalized robes as bridesmaids gifts since I first started planning years ago!! Silly me, left it to the last minute and now it seems I can find them in stock anywhere!! I need white and black waffle weave robes, or I could also do white and hot pink.. anyone recently get some from somewhere?? I am having no luck finding them. :(
