I purchased this easter basket when Michael's was having a sale. It ended up being $4.95! I chose it because of the beading and it look the least like an easter basket. I'm thinking about tying some ribbon on it as well to jazz it up a bit more.

Candy Buffet Boxes Done!
I've had these done for a while but have just now gotten around to posting a picture of them. I box the boxes from papermart.com. We purchased the labels online and Dan designed the stickers with our monogram and wedding date on them. Then I purchased ribbon from Michael's and tied them to the boxes. I think they're cute :)

Save the Date
Save the Date Postcards Ordered!
Last night we ordered our save the date postcards from Vista Print :) Dan designed them on Adobe Illustrator and then we up loaded the image to Vista Prints website. Today I'm going to work on printing our mailing labels so as soon as our order comes in we can mail them out. Yay for one more thing checked off my list!

Possible monogram
Here is the monogram that Dan made for us. Can you see our initials, Katie and Daniel Detmer? We are keeping the monogram as is, we just haven't decided on the details yet. It will go on the front of our inviation with the belly band.

Bridesmaids/Flowergirl Gifts :)
So, me and the FH were doing some shopping a few weekends ago and I have been looking for a cute tote to put the BM's gifts in. I was going to order plain totes from Ebay and then have them embroydered but then I came across these at our local Halmark! They are just what I wanted. They were $24.99 each. The "K" is bright green and the "R" and "S" are bright pink. The rest of the tote is a natural canvas color with black and white polka dots. As soon as I saw them I knew that I had to have them! I also bought the girls each a Bath and Body works bottle of lotion and spray from the "Pink" collection (in pink and green of course). The tote will also contain their shoes that I'm making, a bath towel in either pink or green and their jewelry. Do you think I should add anything else?
Also, here is a photo of the tote I got for my Flowergirl, Abby. I got it off of Ebay and it is so cute. Jenise, the woman who makes them is so accommodating. She had one in green and blue and I asked her if there would be a way to get it in pink and green (I had a fabric in mind so I sent her the link). Bridesmaids
Finally found the green I was looking for!
I guess the big move did bring one great thing! I have been looking at so many different shades of green for my bridesmaids that I thought I was going to go nuts! I didn't want hunter green, pastel-y green or even lime green. Just a nice summer green and I finally found it. It's made by Watters and Watters and its called "Midori". I am letting the girls decide on what dress they want. As long as it is knee length and comes in that color its okay with me :)

Update
Been a long time
Well girls, its been 3 months since I've had a chance to update you all on life. The past few months have been insane! Out of nowhere one Monday afternoon I get a phonecall from a company in Washington DC telling me that they have a job opening for me! Yay job! However, the catch was that I started in 2 weeks! Yikes! So, after scrambling around trying to get an apartment arranged, we finally made the big move. We are still having the wedding in Ohio but since my time has been liminted, we have decided to enlist the help of a wedding planner. I'll still be posting all of the ideas that we come up with...it just won't be as frequent as I would like.

Candy Buffet!
I LOVE candy! So, it was only fitting that we had a lot of it at the wedding. I had never heard of the idea of a candy buffet until I started getting really heavy into the wedding planning. Now, I love the idea. We have already started purchasing glass jars (TJMaxx, Goodwill, Libby Glass Outlet) and we have been getting ideas for the types of candy we want to have. We plan on buying take out boxes from papermart.com in hot pink, lime green, and white. We will then buy these personalized labels from ebay to put on each box. It will be something small that each guest can take with them when they leave. I'm also thinking about buying Michael Miller Sorbet fabric to make a tablecloth for the buffet, much like the main photo I've posted. Do you think it will be too much pink and green?
