Do I get that 2nd chance? Drama with the ex-side....
My daughter is seeing her dad for the summer. Since he elected the extended visitation. I'm allowed to see her for 2 non consecutive weekends. Well my last weekend I had with her she told me his wife was saying it wasn't right for me to have a wedding. And I'm suppose to do what they did. And that was going to the court house... She was married previously as well. And had the whole 9 yard wedding thing... My ex and I didn't have a wedding... We drove 45 min. away to another state and infront of a justice of peace. I didn't have the luxury of my father walking me down the aisle. He didn't even ask my dad for my hand in marriage... My parents didn't come because they were against it. But I was young and stupid... Thought I would show them wrong... Oh how much I do regret that. But with Brandon, he wants my family to be involved. My parents lives 10 hours away from us and Brandon had them come down for the proposal. That meant a lot to them and me. So since this is his first marriage he wants a wedding. And my parents are willing to pay for it. My dad doesn't/wouldn't want it any other way...They love Brandon and knows he will be a good husband and a father... So do you ladies think its wrong for me to have a wedding? Do I get that 2nd chance? Thanks for the support ladies... I would address the issue to him but he has a mind of a 10 year old... Even though our relationship has passed he still makes the effort to make rude comments to me in emails... I can't have a normal relationship with him. Believe me I tried...

Brandon's and my parents get along fine. They live 10 hrs away so we don't get to see them much as I want. But when we all get together... They have a good time and a good relationship.
