I am so happy I came across jasminedanelle's brooch bouquet posting!! What a game changer! Just like she mentioned, trying to dig up some great finds for antique brooches in thrift stores or spending all day on ebay bidding just to lose on the lots people are selling for brooches was getting to be a little much for me.
I'm excited to say that after reading her post, I went on fabulousbrooch.com and found some really awesome deals. I was about to just throw in the towel and purchase one off of etsy for $200, then add in some brooches here and there for sentimental value but knowing all the while I would feel cheated out of the experience of doing it myself...
Soooo thank you so much jasminedanelle! I will have to keep in touch with her so I can share in the experience of a fellow DIY bride, and ensure I know what in the heck I'm doing! *giggles*
Tomorrow while I'm off, I plan to go to my fave place... Yep: Hobby Lobby!! that way I can take advantage of their wedding sale going on right now and get some supplies for my vintage brooch bouquet.
Wish me luck ladies, and if you have some tips on a brooch bouquet pass them my way!
Thanks JossettHudsonEvans - glad I could help. I literally just stumbled accross the site during my online bargain shopping.
Let me know how things turn out.
