Ok, so most people who know me would say that I have an artsy quirky side- and I do! when it comes to decorating, or even fashion I LOVE unique one-of-a-kind finds..
As I sat with my florist going over wedding flowers and decor, I couldn't help but think to myself as I thumbed through all the magazines "ho-hum... seen that before.. yep, somebody already did that.." and I didn't want to have that experience with my special day with Patrick!
I decided since our ceremony is taking place in a park, with millions of flowers all over the place, especially at the Historic Fountain where we are getting married- why not do something ELSE with my bouquet?! Plus- flowers eventually die, and the more I researched alternative ideas, the more I fell in love with the idea of doing a vintage brooch bouquet in my wedding colors. It's perfect because it brings my "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" to a whole new level, and adds a sentimental touch- I can ask my girlfriends and special ladies in my life/ family members to all gift me a brooch that will become part of my bouquet I will keep with me forever. Talk about a wonderful keepsake!
Being a person that loves deals, AND efficiency, I figured this idea would fit rather nicely as a lead-in activity for my bridal shower and bridesmaids luncheon.. and I can't WAIT to see the photos!
