Bridesmaids
My ladies.. oh my ladies!
Where would I be without my ladies? I am so blessed to have some awesome friends, aunts and of course my mom and MIL because they all kept me sane! lol
I don't know how many times I was urged to relax, take a breather and someone offer to go get the million of things I needed with all of those DIY projects I had going on hahahaha all in all, I am so glad they were by my side. These photos Im finally getting to post that I received from our photographer are just the tip of the iceberg. I can't get over what a fabulous job he did for an amazing price. I literally just did a screen shot off my computer a second ago just to finally get some of these pics uploaded quickly- but the actual quality of his shots and prints are SUPERB! My husband and his friends were absolutely awesome about taking pictures!
Talk about some dudes that clean up rather well if I may say! I was so impressed with all of them and the level of care they took to make sure everything went smoothly. My all-time fave picture is of Patrick and my son (now officially OUR son) Malcolm.. Malcolm recently turned 16 this month. I look back on their photo and remember how they cracked jokes all day and it warmed my heart to see my son and husband so happy. Malcolm served as Patrick's Jr. Best Man. Its a gift from God indeed when your child loves your mate and things really gel! It was so awesome to get these pictures and be reminded of how special those moments between them was on our wedding day. #blessed! |

Sorry it's taking soooo long.. there are so many pics to upload and my So far I've gotten the most ooh's and aaghs from these and I was so excited when my husband and his brother surprised me with a vintage 1942 Bentley to begin our beautiful day in! I felt like a queen as people rushed over to see who was in the car, they were waving to me, cheering and whistling, shouting congrats, taking pictures... OH HOW I LOVE PEOPLE IN SAVANNAH! I had a couple stop their driver on their horse drawn carriage ride and ask to come take a picture with me standing next to the car.. it was so cool to be a part of their vacation! The gentleman wrote congrats on a $1 bill and told me he hoped I had a prosperous marriage. I almost cried- The best thing is, that as beautiful as I felt in this car, and as luxurious as I felt in my dress after a morning of pampering with my ladies (Hey girls! Hey Mom!) I come home to a husband that makes me feel just like a Queen by the way he treats me, listens to me, laughs with me and builds a life with me.. I'd take that everyday type of "special feellng" I get from him over a rental of luxury anyday! So remember ladies: Don't let your wedding DAY be the highlight.. focus on what type of marriage you want to create with your true love. Trust me, its worth it! *giggles* |

Wedding Cake
Publix did an amazing job with our cake!!! It was DELICIOUS!!!
So... After changing my mind a zillion times the entire bakery at the Local Abercorn Publix in Savannah knew who I was lol.
All in all, it was a great experience and Im so thankful for their patience. They worked miracles for us to stay within budget and have the flavors we wanted. The grooms cake was amazing and so many people kept asking who made the cakes.. I delightfully replied "your local grocery store.. You know, PUBLIX!!" I sat down my brooch bouquet in a glass vase next to it to free up my hands and it looked great there.. Perfect shot!! Instead of a traditional cake stand I went with this vintage gold mirror I found for $7 at a thrift store to capture and reflect the lights from the votives I used to decorate around the rim.. It created a soft glow and with the room already dimmed for dinner it really set the stage for what lay ahead.. I scattered some remaining flower petals around for a soft feminine touch and it turned out fantastic. My aunt Violet brought me a purple and orange wreath she had made out of heavy ribbons that I absolutely loved. I decided to use it to spruce up the wall but was sad when they told me I couldn't cover up the fire extinguisher due to safety (talk about an eye sore) Paired with the yummy deserts the caterer threw in as part of our package, everything was...SWEET! Hahahaha Can't wait to take a bite on our 1st year anniversary!!! *giggles* |

Special shout out to my sister's best friend Travia for doing a fab glam job on my vintage-inspired pin curls.
Loved my hair!!!!! It was perfect for my DIY vintage birdcage and was the perfect style that showed off my dress and shoulders just like I wanted THEN she transformed all of my ladies into vintage beauties with sweet pin curled side buns and made them look fabulous. *giggles* |
