Last week we were visiting with my future in-laws and my FMIL wanted to know if I was interested in a wedding planner. I told her that I had definitely thought about it but honestly didn't see it in the budget as we are way over already. She gave me the impression that she would willing to pay for it (although she didn't flat out say it). She wants me to meet with a planner that she knows. I heard from a friend that a planner's cost is generally 10% of your budget. Which right now would put us at about $2 Grand. I definitely don't want the FMIL to pay that much as she is already giving us our honeymoon. However, I do know that I would at least need someone the day of to handle centerpieces, making sure everything is in order, etc. I would like to know who has had planners or day of coordinators, and how did it work out for you?
