Shoes
I bought them!
I spent way too much money on them, but I'm obsessed! I got a new dress this weekend to wear for an upcoming wedding and realized that peacock feathers were the perfect accessory! I'm so excited to get these shoes, but I don't think they'll fit. The biggest size I could find anywhere on the internet was a 7.5 and I typically wear an 8. I figure there isn't too much to them so as long as they are long enough hopefully they'll work. If not they had free shipping and return shipping so it won't be any financial loss (just emontional loss) if they don't fit. I can't wait to get them!

Candy Buffet Brides!
Just thought I'd let you know (because it didn't cross my mind) that black candy turns your mouth black! Ha ha. We had some black gumballs and black sixlets and they turn your mouth black. Luckily I didn't have much of the candy so I didn't have a black mouth in my pictures, but I thought I'd mention it so you didn't have a black mouth in all your wedding photos!

I'm Married!
My big day
I'm married! My wedding day was AWESOME! I'd been watching the 10 day forcast the entire 10 days before my wedding and it ranged from 50 degrees and raining, to 40 degrees w/ rain/show showers, to 55 degrees and partly cloudy. Turns out it was like 60 degrees and SUNNY! It was perfect! We were scheduled to do our hair before 3:00 and we were all (but one) done by 1! I was able to run to Subway with my MOH (in my veil and PJs) to grab some lunch before going to the church. I'm glad we had time because we forgot to plan food for the day! We did all the pictures, including going downtown to an alley with the wedding party in my Mom's convertible. The weather was perfect for it too! The wedding went great and the reception was a blast. I'm pretty sure my wedding was the greatest wedding I've ever been to, but that was probably just because I knew almost everybody so no matter what I wanted to do, my friends were there! Ha ha. The photobooth was AWESOME. I ran back and forth between dancing and photobooth all night. I was SOOOO tired at the end of the night that between songs I needed to stop and put my head down, but I was having so much fun I didn't want to leave! We took our card box and the photobooth album to the hotel that night and looked through all of it before bed. We got up in the morning and had breakfast with some friends and headed out to catch our cruise ship!
Not everything was perfect, but nothing big was bad. Some of the tuxes were a little messed up (some shorter sleeves, my husband's tie was supposed to be white, but he got black, mix up with an usher and a dad), almost everything dealing w/ flowers was wrong. They were all supposed to be solid HOT pink/fuchsia, but mixed in light pink in EVERYTHING. Everything was still beautiful, just not what I had asked for. The only thing I was REALLY disappointed in was my cake. The cake lady did an awesome job making it exactly what I asked for, but the florist was supposed to put flowers on the tall layer, but didn't, so my cake was plain. My aunt played "cake boss" and tried to fix it, but she didn't have the right flowers to make it work out that well. Either way, it was an amazing day and truly was the greatest day ever! I didn't even cry! I was close a lot, but I didn't let the church lady close the back doors before I walked out because that would have been to "grand" of a reveal and I knew I'd cry so that helped. My dad walked me out before the music started so I was trying to get him to wait so that also helped. I got really close to crying during our vows, but I forgot the words to my last line to repeat and had to ask what. I didn't realize what part it was, but I later found out it was on sharing all my worldly goods and people kept asking if I did it on purpose! Ha ha. It was apparently the perfect time to forget! |

TOMORROW!
I'm getting married tomorrow!
Everything is pretty much done, as soon as my mom gets done tanning we are heading to get a mani/pedi then I guess I better pack up for the honeymoon before the rehearsal. I tried to sleep in today, but my parents were loud and the phone kept ringing all morning, but I did make it till 9. Maybe tomorrow I can make it till 10 or 10:30. We are getting our hair done at noon then starting the day! I can't wait.
All I have left to do today is to work on some signs that are done, but need to be glued to cardboard to make them stiffer. Everything else is pretty well done. My candy bar looks great! Well, except the backdrop of it because it isn't a pretty building, but oh well, everything I was responsible for looks great! |

Countdown
Only 4 Days!
I'm getting married in 4 days! I'm so excited. I have to go to work tomorrow then I have the next two days off to get everything ready! I haven't been stressed about the wedding yet, but I've been stressed about how I'm going to get all the work done I'm going to miss at work. But really, who cares about that! I'm so excited to see everything put together and enjoy the day!
PS-The picture on the side are most of the flip flops for the flip flop basket. I did a few of them and made some bows, but after I got bored of it my grandma took over and made them amazing! |

Hot Pink Heels for sale!
I'm soooo soo soooooooo sad to have to sell these, but they are too tall and I can't walk in them (plus they make me as tall as my fiance). I bought these shoes at a store about 3 hours from where I live, and wasn't able to make it back to return them before the return policy ran out. They were $49.99 plus about $5.00 tax and I only wore them to try them out to see if I could walk in them (I tried so hard). I'd sell them for $55 to get back what I put in and I'll pay shipping. If that is too much money, make an offer and I'll consider it!

Got so much done today!
Yay for progress
Here is what I've accomplished today:
-We went to the church and measured the aisle and decided where we want the monogram -selected monogram -bought a few rolls of plastic tablecloth (we are using plastic on the regular tables because who really cares and it's way cheaper) -rented a few nice tableclothes and a chandelier -looked unsuccessfully for polka dot fabric, sparklers, and cups (but did run across some new polka dot ribbon we didn't previously have: wide white with black dots) -ordered candy for candy buffet from 2 different online places (black, white, and pink sixlets,black/white/and pink gum balls, pink and white rock candy strings, a few pink and black large suckers; pink rock candy on a stick; strawberry laffy taffy, strawberry and watermelon frooties (aka flavored tootsie rolls); some sour straws, pixie sticks, and a few other things i think) -ordered chair covers, chair sashes, table runners, and a few overlays -painted candy buffet letters, still need to glue on paper and cut them out. -still waiting for my shoes to come in the mail (ordered them 10 days ago!) We are making really good progress, tomorrow I need to make the card box, finish the candy letters, finish guest book, and book a hair trial so hopefully I can decide who I want to do my hair! that's kind of a big deal since in one week it'll only be 2 months away! |
