On Saturday, I hosted a Wedding Party Meet & Greet for my Wedding Party. Althought there are about 5 guys helping out as well, this was a gathering just for the Ladies...the theme: A Day With the Bride.

I posted a few photos of the event. Very low key, location was at my house. The event was basically to communicate the areas in an open forum of where my FI & I need their help most from favor assembly, to rehearsal dinner set up to reception decor. Each person is assigned a specific area, & they are grouped into "teams", which each have cute little wedding names. I handed out Wedding Party Newsletters, which include the areas of assistance, each person's contact #, a wedding timeline, & fun facts about my FI & I. We met , greeted, played a couple of Bridal Games that my Director came up with (to get to know me even better), had food, layered brownie trifles, & favors (inside of the damask gift bags).

Overall, it was short, sweet, & lots of fun....

P.S. Bare with my skimpy little wish tree....I didnt make it very full, due to all the tags that were being signed & hung on it. I will post a pic of the tags attached later. Also, the pic of the heart shaped cookie, personalized candle, & damask journal were the favors I had inside of the gift bags for each guest. You may have to double click photos to better see. You can sortof see the diamond bling ring favors I attached to each gift bag...bad pics...

Also...I hate that I didnt photograph the finished food table! The 2 round damask hat boxes & aqua cake platform were all on a table (pictured) to platform the food platters. We had a veggie tray, fruit tray, wings, shrimp tray & individual brownie trifle (parfaits) with whipped cream & crumbled toffee topping.

Dangggg...can you come put a party together for me? Everything looks great, & I totally love the wish tree & the sign you put out there for it! Did you make it? Looks so good, plus I love the damask tiffany blue holder/vase thing you have!!! I like the bag details & the diamonds you topped them off with!! So VERY pretty together, & the food sounds soooo good! You really did a great job of appreciation for your Wedding Party. All mine got was an email, lol!

OMG....That was so nice....you have great ideas...I think you have great spirit and somewhere and somehow we connect. But this ideas was great,I like how you added in the games I having a meeting also but just the review.....get'em sonya you really on a ball...Lookin Good Girl....lol

WOW Sonya. Your party looks fantastic! Everything is so detailed and organized. I love how the bags look with the aqua paper. Definitely doing that for my guests. If this is how the meet and greet looks I absolutely cannot wait to see how the wedding will look. I mean damask drink umbrellas!!!!! You are DA BOMB girl. I want more detials via email por favor!

Hi Kim, & thank you for your comment. I actually did the invites myself, & then uploaded the design on Vistaprint. The black & white damask background behind it is just scrapbook paper that I used to mount the invites on for a photo board display that I did @ the Meet & Greet. Ok...I effin love everything you did, it's beautiful and creative! Looking at your pictures I know your guests had a great time.

Thanks sooooo much! I scanned photo with chandelier & then played with the color in Paint program. Bags are from www.bagsandbows.com & tissue paper is from Borders Bookstore (the vendor is Paperchase).

I just want to say, your decor was outstanding and very well job done. I was sharing some of these photos with a friend of mines and we can not wait to see what your centerpieces look like! I was not a Damask fan of black and white decor, until I saw this. This is beautiful...I'm still sticking to Tiffany Blue and Silver though...Good work, can't wait to see you centerpieces!

Hi Preshuz! Let's see... My friend Marta purchased the bags from Bags and Bows Online dot com, & then we split the costs. Everything Stationary-wise, I created & printed thru Publisher Program. I also had a pack of Black & White scrapbook scraps that were purchased at Target that I used as my layer foundation for my chandeier invites. I created the invites & printed via Vista Print for free on Postcards. And, the aqua & white holder was purchased at Target. The plates were more toile/floral, but for the record, I got those at Party City. If there's anything else you are curious about, just let me know! :)

I like this idea. Could you share some examples of the icebreakers and games you all played.

We played "How Well Do You Know The Bride ?". It's usually a Shower Game, & also "Who Am I?" This game was meant for EVERYONE there, not just centered around the bride. I wanted that game because alot of ppl didn't know each other, so I wanted them to have a fun crash course, lol. You can pretty much make the game how you want it. Just create about 5-15 (or more) questions. Like, "what's your favorite color", "are you married", "where did you meet the bride", "what's your middle name", etc.. print out copies (everyone gets the same question sheet). Be sure that they put their names on it, lol. Have one person conduct the game. They will read random questions & answers off sheet. Your guests (we did teams) will try to guess. Prizes given...
