My name is Brandy, I am an old bride here on WBC,however I am back to plan my 2nd anniversary party... I wanted to have a party last year but got really sick during my first trimester of pregnancy that I did not feel like planning A SINGLE THING! Well my bundle of joy is here so during naps, I can blog and plan. Our party will be A Casino Night with one of two themes, I havent decided yet, maybe you guys can help me... Hey everyone!!!
I miss you all to pieces... I promise I wish they had a babybycolor or something so I can still blog with you all! So, those who are not friends with my on FB, ... We are having a ........ BOY!!!! Byron S. McGhee III (yes the third :) We are currently at 23 weeks... I am busy busy helping plan my baby shower... yeah poop im not suppose to but my situation allows it.... I stepped down from my job, hubby's new career blessed us to do so , so I wont stress during this time... MY mother, 4 good friends and cousin are throwing my husband and I our baby shower... We already had one surprise shower in California, (see all the yellow clothes, we didnt know what we were having at the time) Also, my mother cant hold water for anything, and i found out at my family reunion in three weeks, they are throwing a surprise shower for me, hubby and our cousin and his wife.... smh at mom gotta love her But since I am at home during the day, they got me a reloadable visa card and my mother and hostess load money on it every week so i can buy what I want for the shower... its funny shopping online all day... They planned the whole weekend: Friday- pregnancy massage for me reg massage for them, lunch and favor party/girl sleepover while hubby hangs out with out of town friends... Saturday is the shower day (at hotel conference room) then that night suite at nearby hotel for hubby and I.... Sunday, parents are hosting a brunch at the place where we had our wedding reception... I feel so truly blessed.... The theme is Cirque du Bebe (french circus) I found it on the hostess blog... http://www.hostessblog.com/2009/09/free-printables-cirque-du-bebe-blue/ Also the lovely Shayne aka Unpredictablebride is helping out with details like: wish cards, water bottle labels, etc..., so thankful for her! You know its all me you guys... bright colors, feather centerpieces... Well again I miss you all I will stop by and post updates at a later date... love you all <3 |

Which venue????
So I found two venues I am thinking about...
Well we will be having our family reunion the week after our vow renewal and it is in New Braunfels TX... I was born and raised in San Antonio Texas about 35-45 mins away... so why not do it there... We could do it on the Riverwalk (kind of cheesy but i like it) or the Botanical Gardens or the McNay Art Museum Here are some sights to see pics... So I am still doing the vow renewal, with some minor changes:
VENUE, DRESS, BUDGET... nothing major LOL.... I was wondering how to measure for my dress considering I will be 6 months preggers at the time of the vow renewal... I saw a maternity tab and voila! I found a matcing dress similar to the one I originally picked.. and guess what 100 cheaper! SCORE! |

So yes you guys I am moving in forward motion.... I want to knock out lots of details earlier in the game, so I can relax toward the end... (not?! right lol)
So I have been eyeing barefoot sandals, yes I will be barefoot on the sand :) Well you know I love bling, rhinestones, anything that shines, so I found this one and I had to get them for my feetsi-sis(feet -sis -sis) I also was only the look out for a bouquet wrap (they were all like 150- 160 dollars) no ma'am.. so I just happened to look at an old bridal magazine and in exclusively weddings they had one for 19.99 yes 19.99 whoop whoop (doing the cabbage patch) so I bought two... Then found cute bouquet jewels in the shape of starfish, ( i only bought two) awwww ok I am done with my shopping crazy at least for today... I will total up my cost vs. budget on Monday and report my track of budget... Love u all! *muah* |

Whaaaapaaaa!!!! (in my george lopez voice) Yes I bought some hair you guys!
So I am so addicted to this hair ladies.... It is the best hair I have ever purchased... Raw, virgin, indian hair... I love big hair(Im from TEXAS) and I am always wearing Curcly weave.. well this one you can straighten and it lasts up to one year.. I dont usually install mines however more than twice... Well I am attending a wedding next month and am buying this hair to wear throught the winter months, I fugured why not go ahead and buy the hair for next year for the vow renewal.. before they up the prices... I will probably wear it pinned up in the top (pompadour) with waves or wear it straight for the vow renewal and wet it to get the waves when we go on our cruise and then hit miami streets... Ok cost for 8 ounces of hair... 14 inches(4oz) - 110.99 18 inches(4oz) - 134.99 with taxes and express shipping (i need my other hair for homecoming) Total for wedding hair - $270.98 Oh my! |

So I booked the hotel for pre- cruise and post cruise.... Here is what the figures came out to: June 15-17, 2011... Marriott Biscayne Bay (with discount) rate was 89.00 per night with taxes for both nights total --> 201.14 After the cruise June 20-21, 2011... Miami Marriott Airport... (with discount) rate was 99.00 plus tax total ---111.87. Ok extra charges... Shuttle from airport to hotel... Taxi = $30 flat plus 10 tip = $40.00 Taxi from hotel to Port of Miami = $12 + 8 tip = $20 Shuttle from port of miami to other hotel $12 + $8 tip = $20 Shuttle from hotel back to aiprport = FREE Total: $393.01 3,606.99 left in budget .... breathes in deeply... |

The hiccups of my day....
So I just realized I never got to tell you guys about my wedding day... um yeah.. I am going to post the good, the bad and ugly... I am going to get the ugly out the way first....
Ok... Lets backtrack to the night before... All I wanted to do the night before was sit with my bridesmaids in the hotel room and watch Sex & the City 2 on bootleg with wine... well I get there and ther is a strip pole... ok i have tons of still still to do and i didnt want to seem not appreciative but you know I specifically asked to just relax the night before and prepare for the next day after... I get pulled into the a room and team bridesmaid a (yes they were divided and clicked up) starts saying I need to let loose and party,I was being boring I was like ok but only for an hour I have tons of stuff to do... Two hours go byand there is a knowck onthe door, the front desk , can you guys please keep it down... I then said ok guys thats enough, lets call it for the night... did they listen um no! I go to finish up favors with team bridesmaid b and i hear bump on the floor over and over, so again a knock on the door... (keep in mind I work for the this company) I am goingto have to ask you guys to quiet down or leave... He leaves and I still hear bump... I am crying and not understanding why the others are not listening that this is still my company, I still have to have a job on Monday.... well they then proceed to tell some of my bridesmaids they cant spend a night in the room they have to go elsewhere... wth???? They told my half-sister who flew in from Illinois and my friend who drove from Beaumont they needed to leave... no. So then..... they (team bridesmaid a) want to have a meeting saying there is tension and we need to fix it.. at this point all I can do is laugh...I cannot believe it... Well Team bridesmaid a left and team bridesmaid b ended up helping me finish the last of everything until 4:30 am.. I have to be at the hair salon at 7:00am.... More coming soon... |
