Wow am I ever lucky! I didn't really have a budget for shoes... I know I know you ladies are going "Whaaaat?!?!?"
Let me explain, I have some very nice white shoes (kind of a Marilyn Monroe style) that I was planning on wearing. They are 4inch open toed pumps. I need to take them to the shoe doctor and it will cost me around $20 to fix the heel and have them cleaned. When I went to the bridal shop to try on the gown I had ordered, it was the perfect length with the shoes I was wearing that day. (5 1/2inch stiletto platform sandal) Hmmmm..... have the gown hemmed, or buy new shoes the same height as the ones I was wearing? One of the easier decisions I have made regarding the wedding........ BUY NEW SHOES!!!!!!! And by the way, I have a very high pain tolerance, I am known to wear 5inch heels walking downtown all day on cement sidewalks while shopping, hahaha. I'm confident that while there may be some pain, I can pull off a wedding in 5 inch heels. Hell at least I get to sit down for dinner! Wedding Cake
What a deal!!!
So I spent hours scouring the internet to find the perfect wedding cake for less. When I went to the bridal shows in my area and picked up some information on local vendors in the London Ontario area I was appalled by the prices! How the hell do people afford a $600 dollar wedding cake? It might as well have been six thousand dollars considering my budget ( which is $5000 for the entire wedding!) I knew I HAD to have a wedding cake and I wasn't about to resign and just order a cake from Dairy Queen, so down the rabbit hole I went. I ended up finding a wonderful young lady fresh out a bakery school and starting up her own business. I am getting a two tiered fondant banana cake with cream cheese filling and delivery for ....... drum roll please...... $193.96 tax in. She is awesome to work with and you can see some examples of her work. I am sooo happy! I just wanted to share with the other BRide's-to-be out there. The cake pictured is what I'm going for. Wedding Rings And Jewelry
What does this ring come with......
Hmmmm.... so I have recently received a gorgeous wedding band that matches my engagement ring perfectly. The only problem? It was a gift from my MIL. I know, I know that sounds like something to celebrate rather than fret about right? WRONG! My MIL and I have had.... well it's been difficult building a relationship with this woman and I bet a lot of Brides-to-be out there know exactly what I'm talking about. She is opinionated to the point that if I disagree on something she wants decor wise for my wedding I am being a Bridezilla and still insists on doing my fiance's laundry for him!!! So here is the dilema, when a women that has repeatedly tried to sabotage my day and come first in my fiances life buys you the PERFECT wedding band that costs more than we could ever afford for the wedding... what does it mean????? I am so happy to have the perfect ring but I don't know how to take it. This woman is sooo confusing! Help!!!

The inspiration for my wedding is old vintage Hollywood glamour with a touch of classic french county flair. My colours are cream, white and blush with accents of gold and pewter. It will be an intimate day with only 26 geusts and one long banquet table for the dinner. I am planning on several DIY projects as we are working with a budget of $5000 for the entire wedding.
