Several had asked about the birth of my daughter and how her life has been since then...
The last I had updated was when we found out that our daughter Violet has Down syndrome when I was pregnant with her. It was a whirlwind pregnancy and a heck of a year after her birth filled with multiple surgeries including open heart surgery at 5 weeks old. She will be one year old this Saturday and she is such a miracle.

We are expecting!
Futuresmrst is pregnant :D
The Drs said it would never happen...and yet here I am! I found a new Dr and 3 days before surgery he tells me I'm pregnant!
We are having a little girl, due in January. We found out via Amnio that she has Down syndrome. At first it was a complete shock but she is still our miracle baby and we love her no matter what! We had our anatomy scan today and they found two cysts on her brain along with echogenic bowel. So we have to keep an eye on it for the rest of the pregnancy. She is also very very very tiny...only in the 15th percentile. We are hoping and praying she will go full term! It's been a really long time since I have posted and I'm sorry for that! After the wedding and the honeymoon things got absolutely nuts around here! With me and my medical problems and trying to remodel the house it was just nuts. I will also TRY to post some of the honeymoon and wedding photos soon! Much love to you all and hope everything is going well for everyone! |

Futuresmrst is married! woo whooo!!!
So I am finally back from my honeymoon in Italy....2 weeks went by very quickly!
Here are some of the photos that people have sent me...there aren't many, I have to wait six to eight weeks to get the pro pictures back and i cannot wait to see them! The horror stories from the wedding will be coming soon and OMG there are several lol. A brief glimpse into the chaos that was my wedding...stained table cloths, college graduation party in next room with drunken fools, cops, 104 fever, ugly A$$ wedding cake, dress ripped...the list just keeps going lol. But at the end of the night one thing was accomplished.....we were married! |

futuresmrst! It's MY turn!!!!
well ladies....the time is finally here. Everything that could go wrong this week pretty much has. No time to go in to details but I will fill you all in on the chaos after I get back from my honeymoon in two weeks. The wedding is this Saturday (5th) and we will be in Rome from the 6th until the 19th!
Just found out today there is a chance of SNOW on my wedding day!!! Who would have ever thought SNOW in MOBILE ALABAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the picture is from my makeup and hair trial! See you ladies on the flip side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you all and thanks so much for all the support!!!!! |

Here is my cake!!! What do you think?
Mine will however be all white. Instead of roses there will be handmade gum paste peonies on it. The peonies and the fondant draping will have silver dust brushed on and the rest of the cake will have pearl dust to make it sparkle!
The flavors are as follows first layer: triple chocolate chunk with oreo cookie creme filling second layer: strawberry fields-strawberry cake with cheesecake and strawberry puree filling third layer: red velvet cake with creme cheese filling fourth layer: root beer float fifth layer: creme brulee-caramel cake with caramel and white chocolate filling. can we say YUMMMMMM! As soon as FH saw this cake in the bakers portfolio today we flipped! We both knew immediately we HAD to have this cake! |

My beautiful bridal shower!
I know I am partial but I had the most amazing bridal shower. My girls really went above and beyond and made it a truly special day. I didn't decide on the Tiffany's theme just because it's popular right now....Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my all time favorite movies and I am a HUGE Audrey Hepburn fan.
One of my very dear friends had her mother make the cake for me which was sooooo yummy! All the guests came dressed in black and lots of jewelry of course. We drank mimosas and ate so much wonderful food! We played the traditional games and had an absolute blast! One of the questions on the trivia game absolutely cracked me up. "What is the one thing Futuresmrst hasn't changed in the wedding" The answer.......THE GROOM! The girls were all so wonderful and made this a day I will never forget! |

Etsy Warning
Ok, so I found a flower girl basket I really really really wanted (it's at the top of the picture) and only one person on Etsy makes it. "Weddingsandsuch" so I contacted her to make the basket and a matching ring bearer pillow. I tried to keep in contact quite often and she kept blowing me off with excuses as to why it wasn't done. First it was "i'm helping a friend plan a wedding so she keeps me really busy" then it was "an unexpected death" then it was "me and my kid are really sick" all of this within a month. Ok now I understand things happen....but you are running a business. At least contact me to let me know something is going on and its going to take longer than expected. It often took her several days before she would reply to my messages. I can honestly say that the product I received was NOT worth the money. The set was around $80.00 and they look like they could fit a barbie doll. Seriously! The pillow and basket are TEENY TINY! The pillow is around 6 inches by 6 inches and the basket looks like it could hold around 5 rose petals.
I rate this company as follows communication: a big fat 0! quality of product: 60 at best the picture makes the basket look like its a really good size but don't go by the picture.....its very very very tiny! Also, the wrong color of feathers were used on mine....mine is not the one in the picture. Other buyers may have had good service from this seller but I call it like I see it....not very professional in my opinion. Tips for brides: Make sure to get ALL measurements for the pillows and baskets including the opening on the basket where the petals go. Ask for a sample of the fabric Ask if the pillow has the hand strap underneath. You would think it is standard but evidently not. |

It's fully lined and made with GREAT quality satin. I honestly cannot sing the praises of this company enough! You can pick from ivory or white dresses and then pick from all sorts of colors for the sash.
