My Wedding Look
collage of all my wedding stuff so far
So this stuff all looked great in my head and i really needed to put it all together to make sure the final product looked as good as it did in my head lol so i used microsoft power point to put together a collage of all the "for sure" things I have for my wedding. Stuff that cant be changed because its already been ordered/paid for or whatever and some stuff that can change but i dont think will like my hair style (I photo shoped mu dress onto another brides head because i want that hair style lol)
The collage includes - My bridesmaids - their dresses, their jewelry, their shoes. their flowers Me - my dress, hairstyle, veil, shoes, earrings, bouquet, garter, ring Groom - tux w/ white vest and shirt, shoes boutineer, ring Groomsmen - tux w/ black shirt and pink vest, shoes no boutineer just a pink pocket square (saves me some money bc the pocket square is included in the price of the tux yay) Flowergirl - dress, basket, additional sash i photo shopped in Ringbear - sam tux as gm, pillow in upper left corner Ushers- same tux as gm but with a pink vest instead of fuchsia and my invites What do you guys think so far..... sorry its kind of sloppy I just threw it together to get an idea of what my wedding is going to look like. |

Wedding Decoration
Ceremony/Alter arrangements
Just found this arrangement online the other day and I fell in love with it! This is what i am going to use at my alter - one one each side of the alter.
Although I am going to take the bells of ireland out and replace them with shades of pink gladiolas. These will also double as my memorial bouquets. One for Matt's dad and one for his grandparents (mini picture frames like the ones you put on the brides bouquet will hang from them) We will also be having a memorial candle just for his dad. |

DONE!!!
After changing my mind a million times and depleting my scrapbooking supplies and making "trial runs of my ideas" I finally made a decision I used a pearly white paper, a flower stamp, pink pigment stamp ink and pearly white embossing powder to create the perfect invites for my wedding! best of all they were really cheap!!! It cost me roughly $200 to make 300 invitations (this includes rsvp cards accomodations/directions and envelopes) Thats about $0.67 per invite!!! How great is that!!! Also i printed the Accommodations, Registries, Wedding website, directions and map all right on the back of the invite - cheaper for me and more convienient than 5 separate cards for them :) win win situation now when leaving for the wedding my guests will only need one piece of paper for all the information they will need to know for the wedding |

DIY Wedding
Bridesmaids Jewelry
Wow, i didnt realize how long its been since i last posted!!
anyway, i made my own bridesmaids jewelry!!! and its completely different than the stuff i posted a while back and I LOVE IT! I used pink fresh water coin pearls and pink chanceldony brilloettes. I'm so proud of the fact the it cost me about $12 total per girl (for a necklace and earrings) and they are REAL pearls and gemstones and all sterling silver!!! YAY!! What do you guys think? Sorry about the last picture, its kind of blurry but my camera wasnt working the greatest that day. |

Toasting Flutes!!
Found and bought! Similar to the Swarovski ones!
SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THESE!!!!
I searched and searched and SEARCHED some more for the discontinued Lenox Jubillee toasting flutes (not the ones with the pearls, the ones with the crystals) because i fell in love with the Swarovski ones but REFUSE to pay almost $400 for a pair of toasting flutes! Not to mention that no one in my area will etch names or dates on flutes worth that much.... they put a cap on it at $200 so if they screw up they wont have to take as big of a hit for replacement cost. Anyway the Lenox ones are VERY similar to the Swarovski ones, but i recently found out that they were discontinued. They now make Jubillee Pearl instead of crystals. Anyway i searched for days! and in my search i fell upon the flutes shown in the pictures, they arent exactly like the swarovski or lenox ones but i LOVE THEM. They are Godinger Floating Diamond Toasting Flutes!!! I ordered mine off Ebay for $29.99 with FREE SHIPPING!!! You can also find them on Amazon.com for $35 I thought this was a great deal, they look great and I cant wait to get them in the mail!! |

Updates....
It's been way too long....
OK ladies, your not going to believe this but I CHANGED the color scheme and decor and o so many other things!! Yes, i know 7 months before the wedding im pretty much starting over! (good thing nothing was set in stone and we hadnt bought anything yet!) So heres the new plans....
Colors... Now shades of pink (bright to light) and white. We are now thinking that we are going to use the orange only in the flowers. We are not going to incorporate it as much as originally planned because the farther we got into it, the more it looked like a kids birthday party. Formality: The wedding is now formal rather than casual. We decided we wanted elegance..... Invites.... changed, but dont know what to now...... BM dresses... havent changed, we ordered them last week. My dress.... hasnt changed.... i just love it! i cant wait to get it fitted! decor.... changed! we really love the new decor idea, ill make a new post about it later.... venues.... all the same |

Serving Set Is in!!!
Love It!!
I found a couple of ladies on etsy that do custom beaded server sets and champagine flutes! I fell in love with the ones in the exclusively weddings magazine but they were $90 for the server set and $90 for the toasting flutes! There is no way i would pay that much for them! So anyway i went on a search and found these! Im really excited! Going to order them this week! The server set is only $30 and the glasses are only $16!
Update: Serving Set came in before Xmas! I LOVE IT! They are amazing!!! I am so impressed with them!!! If any of you ladies are interested please check out WeavesBeads on etsy.com!!! She is great! She is very easy to work with, very flexable and reasonably priced! She will do any color combos you request. Her shipping is very fast also (i think it took like 3 days after i ordered to get mine but she also had the set made before i ordered) I highly recommend her!!! I will add another update about the toasting flutes when i get them ordered and they come in..... (been super busy and havent even ordered them yet!) Ps. The new pictures are of my actual serving set (after i had them engraved) |

NWR - Nursing School
Nearing the end of the semester
After today i only have 3 days of Clinical left and a week (total) of class. I graduate as an LPN in December and Start my RN Classes next semester.
Just thought i would post some funny pictures of me and the girls at clinical! Cant wait for break, but am going to miss my clinical group!! (I LOVE these girls, its been a great semster! (some are not going on for their RN and i am not guaranteed to get to be in a clinical group with any of the girls that are going on as the groups are picked at random) |

Dieting....
I love Weight Watchers!
I decided to start dieting in April of this year and i had no idea how to go about it. As a nursing student i dont have a whole lot of extra time on my hands so im not very good at making time to exercise and counting calories and meal planning is not as easy for me because of the time issue.
So i joined weight watchers. I just paid the fee for one week because i heard about the points system and wasnt sure haw that was going to work for me (again because of me not having much spare time) But i loved it so i started the monthly membership. I soon found out that counting your points isnt that time consuming at all and now that i have been on the program for a few months i can look at a nurition lable and just know how many points a serving is. Weight watchers really isnt a diet its a lifestyle and i think thats what makes it so easy to follow. WW has taught me how to portion my food, make healthier choices, know the importance of 3 meals and 2 snacks a day and realize that to be healthy and not overweight doesnt mean that i cant eat my favorite foods like cake! All in moderation! Not going to lie, it was tough in the begining getting used to everything and for the first few weeks it did take me a lot more time than i would have liked to plan my meals etc. But it gets much easier and faster as you continue. I started at 175 lbs and was wearing a size 16 jeans, xl shirt and 14 dress. As of yesterday i am down to 136 lbs! I am now in a size med shirt size 6 dress and im am titering btwn a size 6 and 8 jeans (6 is a little snug and 8 is a little big)! Im am so excited, i feel so much better and am much more self confident! Also for any of you on weight watchers that arent using the ww website, check it out! its an amazing tool that has helped me out a lot with making my favorite recipies healthier and its so easy to keep track of your points and look up points values with the online tracker! Take advantage of that tool! For all of you ladies dieting out there GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS on any achievements you have made thus far! remember do it to be healthy not skinny! And do it for yourself not anyone else! |
