I'm really excited now! I have 4 days left until I marry my best friend! We are both extremely excited... It's been a long time coming and it's finally about to happen! I promised you all that I would post whatever pictures I could of me in my dress that I ordered online at lightinthebox.com. I love my dress. It's simple and fits my style. I had been looking for a dress like this for a while and I finally found it online. I was skeptical about ordering online at first but I just decided to take a chance. Hello ladies,
I am happy to say that I am in the SINGLE DIGITS!!! wOOOhOOO!!!! I have 9 days left!!! I'm really excited but I am so nervous. I've had 3 wedding nightmares already. The first was a complete disaster... My hair and make-up never got done and my dress went missing. Crazy, I know. In the second nightmare, I cried the whole time, before, during and after the wedding. In the third nightmare, I never made it to the church, so I missed my wedding. I have faith that my big day will go off without a hitch, but my nervousness is getting the best of me. Not to mention, our best man has not been fitted for his tux yet! I'm praying that this will happen today. The last alterations are being done on my dress and I pick it up on 11/8. I hope I love it because if I don't, the seamstress will be fixing it! LOL... but SERIOUSLY, she will... I can't wait to marry my bestfriend on 11/11/11... Happy Planning Ladies!!! |

Wedding Dress
MY DRESS FITS!... well, now it does...
Hello Ladies,
My week has officially been made. Let me start by saying I purchased my dress very close to my wedding date. I purchased it on Oct 3rd and got it by Oct 13th. I ordered it from lightinthebox.com. I was so happy when I took the dress out of the box. It was beautiful! The dress was very well made, pretty and it fits my style but it didn't fit my body. It would not zip up! I immediately went into panic mode and started calling around to a few different seamstresses to get price quotes on adding a corset back to my dress. After calling about 20 shops and hearing things like $300-400 for a corset and $75-175 for a hem, I got very discouraged. The last shop I called turned out to be the one. The lady was very helpful and she charged by the hour for her services... and it was only $40 an hour. I was happy I found this place but I couldn't help but wonder would the cheap price reflect in her work. Fast forward to yesterday 10/22... I have been dieting for the past 2 weeks and I lost about 11lbs so far but I didn't think anything of this until I took my dress to get it altered. The seamstress helped me get into my dress and I made a comment like "this is why I need a corset, it won't zip up". Well 1 minute later, I heard her zip my dress up! I almost passed out! I was in total shock! I couldn't believe I could fit my dress! In only one week and one day I was able to fit into a dress that I previously could not zip up! Lets just say I was happy that I didn't have to spend money on getting a corset added but I did have to get a hem and a bustle. When all was said and done, I spent about $100.00 bucks! I"M SO HAPPY!!! I know this was extremely long but if you took the time to read this, THANKS! Happy Planning!!! |
