The Ceremony
What do you do when your fiance says" hey baby where did you say we were gettign married again" and then I show him and all of a sudden with 6 months left to go. . . Wow the church has ugly carpet!!!!! and on top of that he does not even remember agreeing to the church in the first place. What to do?? I ahve selected several other churches with no luck. They are either too pricey or only marry within their Denomination. I have no clue what to do? I have considered having the wedding the same place as the reception but I would love to distiguish between the 2 events. and on top of all of this I really do not have anything accomplished except, flowers, reception and menu planned, bridal gown, and bridesmaid dresses. Why cant men be predictable? Lets hear from you, give me your opinion on what I should do to handle the situation . . . .

PS. . is it really that bad!?!?

Overwhlemed
I now understand why wedding planners are expensive. Planning a wedding is very overwhelming and at times peaceful. The more I try to make sure that I do not forget something I think of something I did forget about in my sleep. Has anyone ever heard of a stress free wedding. I wish that I could get through this wonderful experience without all of the stress. The little details, who is gonna decorate for me, clean up the church after the wedding (to save money), who is going to make sure that the candles are lit before people get to the reception site. WHO, WHo, Who, who. These questions run through my mind on a day to day basis. My fiance is not your typical man either. He is away every other week for work and I am at home with an 8 week old baby and a hyperactive 3 year old. Wow, just typing this is making me want to go get a massage and a glass of wine. But in a sense this is an outlet a way for me to express the way I feel to other brides for some insight besides my own. To those of you who will read this that do not know me I am a stickler for the details. I am a really organized person and for something to not be in my control it aggravates me. Obsessive, i know, but the final outcome is always a success. But leading up to that point is so intense it is almost enough to push one crazy. If you cannot tell by now I am a fellow DIYer and it is these projects I am most worried about. My MOH and her mother have put themselves out there for my disposal. So I guess I will pass the torch, if you will, so that I can keep my peace of mind knowing that I do have someone who will help me with the details. Now all I have to do is prepare a instructional booklet on how everything is supposed to look (the way I have it pictured in my mind).

Wedding Reception
Here is a sample of what I want the reception to look like. I will be adding damask squares to the center of each table under the centerpiece. Anyone have any other ideas??? I need all the help I can get. I am on a tight budget and I am trying to do a lot of this myself.
