Ask a Question
Anyone else doing the Couch to 5K??

I first read about the Couch to 5K program on daniellerenee85's blog. I downloaded the app for it on my phone (C25K Lite), and I just finished week one yesterday. For the first week you start with a brisk 5 minute warm up walk, then jog for 60 seconds and walk for 90 seconds and continue for 20 minutes and then a 5 minute cool down. The first day was pretty hard for me, which I was disappointed about because I have been exercising regularly for months now, but this is my first time attempting to jog/run for any length of time... The second day, I did great! I felt good, I wasn't out of breath until the last two jogging parts and I felt absolutely great afterwards.. Then I got all excited that I would keep getting better at this... and then day 3 came... I struggled so much! I do not understand!! I did so well on day 2 and am totally discouraged that day 3 was so difficult for me. I was still able to finish and felt good about myself after, but I must admit I dread beginning week 2, as it involves a longer length of jogging.. Is anyone else doing the C25K?? Anyone run into any similar issues?? I would really love to hear all of your experiences, especially those of you who are doing the program or have already finished it. I really want to finish this program out, but I am so discouraged right now :-( Of course I will not quit exercising all together, I just don't know if I should continue on this program.. Any advice and shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies!! :-)

Bridal Show
It's been wayyy too long!!
Hello again WBC ladies!! How I have missed you all!! I have still been on the site several times a week but have not posted anything at all! :-( What a slacker! Sorry! I am just super busy with working on my Masters degree and my wedding is a bit far away... but there is never enough time for planning! Lol. Anyways, there is a big bridal expo in Philadelphia on Sunday that I am going to (what a nice way to end a school weekend!!), and my best friend who is recently engaged is coming too! So excited! I had gotten an email from one of the newsletters I am signed up for a few months back that said it saves a lot of time to make business cards or labels with all of your information on it to give to vendors at the expo instead of filling out all of those cards, which I completely agree with after attending two expos previously! They also suggested it was super helpful to create a separate email address for all wedding related vendors and information to go to, that way if you get tons of spam from them sharing your info (which they should not do, but obviously do..) it does not inundate your current email and its easier to remain organized! :-) So, I was just wondering if any of you ladies had any other tips for getting the most out of a bridal expo?? Thanks so much! And happy planning!

Advice Needed!! Please help!

Hello Ladies!
Today my FH and I went to our free couples portrait session from Bella Pictures that I mentioned in my previous post. It went very well and the consultant was such a nice and patient person! She answered all of our questions and offered us a ton of information. So, onto the questions I need all of your help with...Right now, they are offering Free videography when you book any photography package...This seems like a great deal to me, but I must confess that I have not had much time to research other photographers to get an idea of how much photography prices can range... So for the package that my FH and I are interested in, $3,050 gets 8 hours of photography AND videography.... plus the a Wedding Book/Album, online hosting, digital negatives on DVD, and your choice of up to three other add-ons for free such as Clone Gift books for parents, a proof book, and $250 print coupons...
So what do you ladies think?? Is this a good deal? I know our wedding is still pretty far away but photography is pretty important to us and we don't want a good deal to get away if we can book it now, especially after a lot of people keep telling is how much prices will be going up by the time we get married and to lock in prices as soon as we can... What does everyone think?? Has anyone ever used Bella Pictures or planing on using them or know someone who did?
Thanks so much in advance for any advice you can give :-)

Calling All Vegetarian Brides...

.. Or brides with vegetarian guests...Lol
I am a strict vegetarian, not yet vegan, but hopefully someday soon.. And my FH is a meat eater.. So, as I look at different possibilities for our reception and their menus, I can't help but notice that the majority of them only show their meat/seafood entree selections. Now I do know that a lot of them will make something special for vegetarians if you ask, but I also know from the last wedding I attended that its a plate of pasta.. Lol I know this may not always be the case but I was just wondering what everyone else is doing? Are you having the caterer make something special for you and/or veggie guests or are you having a separate caterer or veggie restaurant make something just for you??

Also, for the wedding cake.. anyone doing a vegan cake?? My FH and I have been discussing the possibility of having a vegan wedding cake, but he said he would only allow it if he can have a separate groom's cake.. Lol Anyway, if I do get to have a vegan cake or at least some vegan desserts, I hope to get them from Vegan Treats in Bethlehem, PA..second picture is from the bakery.. Heres the website if anyone wants to check them out:

Arm Exercise Advice Needed!

Hello ladies!

Ok, here's my question: Does anyone have any really good exercises for toning up arms??

My arms are absolutely hideous (not to mention the rest of my body)!! I wear long sleeves, or 3/4 sleeves at least, all summer because they are sooo embarrassing!!! I used to have a personal trainer at Bally's who always said how hard arms were to tone, etc and that it takes years.. And although I am hoping that is not the case, especially because I get easily discouraged when not seeing results, I do have a few years before the big day and really need to work on these arms! Lol So0o, if any of you lovely ladies has any good exercises that really work, pleaseeee share!! I need allll the help I can get with these arms as I work on the rest of me.. Lol

Ask a Question
Is it too early??
Ok ladies, I just want to get an idea of what everyone thinks... First a little background.. John and I will be together four years in March. We had been together for close to three years when he proposed last year (Sept. 2008). So, although we did want to wait for a little bit to get married because we wanted to buy a house and everything first, we did not plan on it being this far away. We had picked a date and everything but then I started thinking about going back to school for my Masters and I applied to a few schools, not really expecting to get in right away. However, I got lucky and got into my program in the fall of last year. So needless to say, that through off our wedding plan... So, we changed the date and decided that these steps needed to be taken first, especially as I did not want to have to do homework on our honeymoon! Lol
So this brings me to my question... Do you think I am beginning all of this planning too early?? When some people ask me when we are getting married and I tell them our date they give me this look and some have even stated "Why did you even get engaged already?" Like I proposed to myself?!?! Lol But, this is my idea on the whole thing... Yes, school did change our plan and add all this extra time before our wedding, but I think it's kind of a blessing in disguise. I feel that it has given me extra time to enjoy all of the wedding planning and not be so stressed out by the time our wedding arrives. And plus I really enjoyed making the frames and hope to make a lot more things for our wedding, especially since all of you wonderful ladies are posting soo many cute DIY ideas!
Let me know what you all think... and since there really are no pictures associated with this, I posted a picture of our ring bearer pillow and the candy molds that we just bought to make sure they did not disappear before our wedding... Lol

DIY Wedding
Finished the Frames!! :-)
Hello ladies :-) I have completed the frames!! They did not take as long as I had expected either :-) So, here is what and why I made them... I had been thinking of cute ways of asking my bridesmaids and maid of honor to be in our wedding.. First I thought I would get pictures of me and each of the girls and make little slideshows set to music etc.. which while I still love the idea, would have taken foreverrr!! Lol.. Then I thought I still want to incorporate pictures of the two of us for each girl but how?? So I searched everyyyywhere for frames that said Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor and found... nothinggg!! :-( So I decided I was not going to let that stop me and I would create my own frames, thus making it more personal anyway. So I went out searching for cute frames that would have space enough for the letters. I found them all at Ross!! Could not believe it!! I got six of the same frames in different colors for my bridesmaids and a frame with space for two pictures for my Maid of Honor, who is going to be my sister and figured I would put one picture of us growing up and one of us today. Then I searched everywhere for rub-on letters that looked classy and went well with the wedding theme. I found them on Ebay but you can also purchase them from a Michael's, AC Moore or other craft store. The ones I chose are made by Making Memories and was a metallic alphabet set.. There's a picture over there but its pretty blurry for some reason :-( Then I went to AC Moore with my FH, who was actually extremely helpful!! And I found these cute heart embellishments made by Wilton.. picture of them over on the side.. So, then I completed the rub-ons on each of the frames and used a hot glue gun to adhere the hearts to each frame.. It was a bit tedious at times, but I am genuinely excited by how well they turned out... Sad I have to give them away!! Lol Now all I have to do is put the pictures in them and give them out :-) But now I am thinking on making them for me and my FH with Mr & Mrs on it and stuff like that and probably one for Father and Mother of the Bride, etc.. So, what do you all think??
