Hey Lovelies.
I can't believe it's just 10 days until the wedding! Things have been so stressful and also joyous all at the same time. As with all big events there are some set backs and some blessings. Just have to take it all as it comes and get through it.
Last Friday (ironically Friday the 13th: deemed bad luck day) I was in a terrible car accident. A careless driver who was talking on his cell phone smashed into my car while I was stopped in traffic behind a car that was also stopped because of the heavy volume of traffic. Because the person behind me was not paying attention, he didn't slow down or stop. He just slammed into the back of my car and pushed me into the car in front of me. My car was smashed between two cars! And the worst part is my little sister (who is also my MOH) was in the car with me. We were both injured because of this idiot driver.
We were treated at the hospital and released, but I thank God that we were able to walk away with our lives. It could have been a lot worse. It's not good, but it's not as bad as it could have been. There's just a lot to deal with now with the legal and injury stuff. And just two weeks before my wedding!
It was hard, but I didn't want to cancel my bachelorette party since it had been planned months in advance by my bridesmaids. Last Saturday my Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor threw me a bachelorette party. A few of my bridesmaids came to hang out, along with my wedding coordinator. Two of my bridesmaids could not make it. One couldn't come to the bachelorette party because she lives out of state, but she will be here all next week for the rest of the pre-wedding events. I'm so excited!
I brought the girls the wife beaters that I had decorated for them. The wife beaters read: "Bride's Entourage". I bought some white wife beaters from a department store, and bought some different color glitter and glitter glue and made the shirts at home. I also made a shirt for myself that reads: "Bride To Be". Two of my bridesmaids came over the week before to help me make the shirts for the girls and surprise them. I think they all liked their shirts. They wore them all night and took their shirts home to keep.
We sang Karaoke at AItunes in Atlanta. It's a private room karaoke place. Very Japanese style, which is what we like. Pirate Mike made us the most awesome drinks. I had a Chupacabra shot and a Cubra Libre. Classics! We sang songs. I couldn't dance or move around as much as I wanted to, but it was still lots of fun to get out with the girls. It really did help me cheer up.
10 Days to go! I'm praying to God that things will go smoothly with no more accidents, tragedies, crisis, or huge disappointments, no rain on rehearsal and wedding day.
SOOOO EXCITED for you, dear! Can't wait to see all of the beautiful pictures from the big day!! xoxo
But so glad you came away from your accident alright, you had protection with you that day!
Everything will go great, you will have a day to remember and a start of a new journey in your life!
I really pray you feel better and that HAD to be the worst thing that could happen b/4 the wedding so all systems are now a go! Smooth sailing from here til July 28th!!!
