Originally, we were going to be married on April, 14 2012 in Manhattan, NY where all of the family is. Due to changing circumstances the wedding was postponed. I am happy to say that the wedding date has been officially reset to July, 28, 2012 in Royston, GA where we are.
It's amazing what the pressure of a wedding can do! We really needed to take a step back for a moment and consider what we want to do and what is best for us. We realized that all of the stress was coming from listening to other people and doing our wedding the way others (family and friends) were telling us.
Finally, after counseling and lots of prayer we did come together and decided that a small wedding where we live is a lot more our style and budget. The wedding will be simple and beautiful.
The wedding and reception will be held at River Glenn Farms in Royston. Royston is a beautiful place. The Broad River is breathtaking. We will exchange vows by the lovely flowing waters of the river. After the ceremony we will have an outdoor reception at the cottage with plenty of lights, food, dancing, and fireworks (my groom's idea)!
We couldn't be happier with our choice to postpone wedding and concentrate on what we want, rather than pleasing everyone else. This is our day. We are so excited!
