The Party Invitations Have Arrived!

This is very exciting! The engagement party invitations arrived in the mail a whole week ahead of time.

We wanted to get the invitations out 2 months before the party and it looks like we'll be able to do just that! Since we are having family come from out of town to attend the engagement celebration we thought that mailing them out 2 months in advance would be fine. After giving everyone that we are inviting verbal notice about us having an engagement party sometime in November a few months ago without an exact date, we are hoping that this isn't too much of a surprise when they receive the invitations in the mail.

I believe in mailing invitations the old fashion way rather than just doing an e-vite online through a social network or website. We are doing evites, but are also mailing these charming invitations out to those who we know on a more personal level like family, close friends, and bridal party members.

These invitations were ordered through Wedding Paper Divas. The creators are called Tiny Prints. They helped me through the creating process without any hassles or run-arounds. They were very professional by sending me email proofs before they proceeded with printing and they did an excellent job with packaging and shipping.

The prices are wonderful! I received a Costco member discount through wedding paper divas with my member number and not only did I save 20% on the invitations I also received free shipping on these. This brought my price down from $124 to $68. Amazing!

I like that Tiny Prints gave us an option to use one of our engagement photos for the invitation. Putting the engagement photos to good use before the engagement party was nice. Our photographer did such a great job. The photo just blends perfectly with the invitation.

I can't wait to see how he captures this whole wedding event. We are using the same photographer through the whole wedding event from the engagement photos to the engagement party, wedding shower, and the 4-day wedding in April 2012.
