This is a tough one. Most people I know have requested an adult only reception. The downside is that not all your guests will like the idea that they have to leave their kids and then decide not to go. My cousin had her reception in a hotel and hired a babysitter and had all the kids in the room during the reception with the sitter. That way, parents could go leave the party for a little bit to check on the kids and then go back to the room for the party. We are not ahving an adult only reception because there is only going to be 3 kids attending. My daughter who is 2, My fiance's nephew who is 2, and my friends baby who is 1. So I think we will be ok on the kids things. But most people who do have kids and don't have someone to look after them, probably will decline the invite and I know you don't want that
We are going to have a special kids table and place white butcher paper over the table cloth and have crayons for them to color on and maybe bring some coloring books... we thought that would keep them busy and happy.
we will be having a kids table at our reception. We decided on having kids since we have two children of our own that will be there and having smaller nieces and newphews. we will have the coloring books and crayons and also a kid gift box with goodies for each of them at their table.
