Hey Brides & Wives ! Congratulations to ALL brides whose weddings and engagements that I have missed ! I'm doing well. Married life is yummy, yummy, yummy awesome ! I'm still relaxing at home, not working much, but kids and church are definitely keeping me busy ! Just sneaking in to post a few pro photos. I may add more later but the few I have up there have taken ALL morning ! I went to see Eclipse at midnight last night and it was AWESOME ! Now I'm anticipating the 2 installments of Breaking Dawn !! I hope everyone is well and wedding plans are coming into fruition. Tashasita emailed me to check on me, so I thought I would open my laptop and write a short post to let you know what I've been up to. Long story short, I came down with a double ear infection, and an URI. I have been extremely tired lately. So, I finally went to the doctor and had a physical and blood work done. My Love and I decided I needed to take a break from everything... school, work, blogging...lol..etc. I'm just relaxing, taking it easy, doing absolutely nothing every day other than having lots of sex, de-bachloring the pad, and enjoying being married. Shaking the HATERS off..
Everything went very well at my wedding...until I started getting texts messages via FaceBook of how beautiful everything was...etc.
WTH?! We hadn't even got to the hotel good and both My Love and I were getting texts messages from Facebook of people "commenting" on our photos !? He asked me if I posted pictures on FB. I told him no..that I was busy getting married to him !? When would I have time to do that?! I found out my "friend" used my camera and took pictures of herself and other people and pictures of us at the wedding and had posted them on Facebook ! I WAS LIVID ! And So was My Love. I texted her the next morning as I was still getting messages regarding the pictures posted. This is the conversation: Me: Morning. Uh, I can't find my camera. Do you have it? Her: I have it, loaded pictures last night ! Me: Loaded pics where ...? Her: On FB Me: We didn't want our wedding posted on FB. Her: Sorry didn't know it would be an issue. Me: Big issue..I can't believe you did that without checking with me. Her: Again I'm sorry. Don't know what to say. I will delete album when I get home. Me: Louis is not happy with you doing that. Her: Again sorry. Didn't know it would be an issue. posting pics from events has never been an issue. was nothing we talked about. Me: It wasn't a birthday party or a church event. It was our wedding. What's done is done. You should always check with people before you post their life online. It's just proper etiquette. Her: I deleted the album Me: You always do something to create tension in our friendship..it's like sabotage - signing my son's report card without me seeing it, wanting to have the same shoes as I was going to have on at the wedding, thinking it was OK to bring a date to our wedding, signing my massage gift certificates....just crazy stuff. I love you to death, but you are always crossing the boundaries. She deleted the album...and when I finally got my camera back, she deleted the photos that she took as well. THE NERVE OF THAT BROAD! She emailed me this long, drawn out email of how her feelings were hurt and that I was being unforgiving. She said she was tired of it always being about me and going down "gabi boulevard" wasn't something she could handle anymore. I reminded her of the boundaries of a friendship again and that it was our wedding and it was supposed to be all about me. Period. I told her that this has happened too many times and I had no problem with dissolving the friendship because she had crossed the line again. I let her make it all the other times before, but not concerning our wedding. So it was probably the best thing. As I reflected on our relationship, I remember her saying, "You're getting married?! But I'm supposed to get married before you since I've been single longer than you...!!?!" Was she always a hater ? Yeah. Probably. LESSON: You cant set a boundary and take care of someone elses feelings at the same time. You do not need "friends" who disrespect your boundaries. |

G: you quoting Song of Solomon is making me hot, Daddy. L: That was the plan. Any chance of you coming out so we can get married ? G: I 'm waiting on the umbrella.. it's been raining all day.. L: Don't let the rain worry you. G: I read that rain on your wedding day is a sign of prosperity ! L: I think it just means it's raining, Babe. G: u r so funny.. L: I do my best. Get your fine self out here so we can do this. G: Ok. walking out the door.. I managed to get to the clubhouse dry, thanks to my son who went and got My Love's BIG umbrella out of the car. (The ceremony started between 715-730p, according to My Love) As I entered the side door of the clubhouse, the song Gabrielle by Waymon Tisdale was playing. I knew it was the right song to walk in on. I left all the music up to My Love and he did a great job. The ceremony went by SO FAST ! I don't even remember the details ! I do remember my Pastor interacting with the guest. He has this ceremony script that he uses which involves the 3 C's of marriage - Companionship, Communication & Commitment. He then threw in another C for laughs, Cheaper-to-keep-her ! I was married in like 10 minutes! Overall, I have NO COMPLAINTS about the ceremony/reception. I do want to encourage Brides to make a list of how you want things "done" if you plan on leaving your reception and someone else is cleaning and packing your decorations. Leave specific instructions on where things will be going, who is to take what, what is allowed to be taken, what you want, etc. Around 9:45pm, we headed to our hotel room at the Sheraton. I was exhausted from all the dancing and wearing my wedding dress the entire time. When we got there, there was a wedding going on and the photographer asked us to take a picture...it was weird, but I figured IT'S FREE ! He got our information and said he would send us the picture he took. I found out later we had the Junior King Suite for $44. YES $44 ! A friend hooked us up with her cousin's employee rate. He also sent us up some champagne, fruit, and a note telling us to enjoy anything off the menu we wanted for free. As we were going up the elevator, he said, "Do you trust me?" "Of course I do," I said. He takes his tie off and covers my eyes with it. I'm a little nervous. But this is My Love ! I normally don't like surprises but I have grown to learn that is how he operates. He says I don't need to know what's going on all the time. The elevator stops and he takes my hand. We walk to what I assume is the door to our room. We guides me inside. The curiosity is killing me. "Honey? What's going on?" "You said you trust me." "I do..but, I'm curious." "That's good, Babe." He turns me around, and starts unzipping and unhooking my dress... *****TO BE CONTINUED***** |

Part I
Hello WBC Brides and Wives !
I promised to get my wedding story on here so here is Part I.., but I also promise to make the posts as short as possible!! Peace. Love. Blessings. Mrs. Fijipearl ********* On wedding day, I woke up around 6am with NO HANGOVER ! YAY! I immediately took my ritualistic B12 dot, prayed, did my usual neti pot cleansing, got showered, dressed and was out the door to start my day around 8am. I had a few errands to run : pickup rentals, hair, and makeup. I ended up renting these vases that I saw at Hobby Lobby for $50 from a woman I found online who rented wedding decor. She lived 5 minutes away from my house and only charged $10 per vase !! I originally was just needing chair sashes, but when I got to her house, she had EVERYTHING ! I rented a manzanita tree with candles, 2 vases for my alter, 30 dark red organza chair sashes and 2 black organza table covers all for $80 ! SCORE ! So while I was out running around getting everything I needed, it started RAINING !! Not a heavy rain, but there was water coming out of the sky !! And it continued the entire day all throughout my wedding. I didn't let it bother me. We just moved the ceremony inside. I arrived at the clubhouse around 430pm with my makeup, hair, and lash extensions all done. My Love came outside and his reaction was, "WOW..Babe you are beautiful.." He walked over to me, gave me that 10-second kiss, and said, "I can't wait to make love to you tonight.." TALK ABOUT SPONTANEOUS !? We went inside and started working on my alter arrangements which were pretty simple...red roses and feathers. I was in Wal-Mart on Friday and they had a dozen dark red roses for $5 ! I bought 6 dozen red roses for $30 ! I had plenty of helpers getting things ready, so around 6pm, I retreated to my bridal quarters, which was the 2 bedroom model at the apartment complex. I had a t-shirt on that had to be cut off because I didn't want to mess up my hair, makeup or lashes. The photographer got a picture or two of that and he continued to take photos as I was getting ready. While I was preparing to put my dress on, I got a text from My Love: Oh, get up, dear friend, my fair and beautiful lovercome to me! Come, my shy and modest dove leave your seclusion, come out in the open. Let me see your face, let me hear your voice. For your voice is soothing and your face is ravishing. Hey Ladies !
Here's the start of my guestbook. I wanted to share my idea of something different that I could continue to "add to" over the years. I bought a strap-hinge album instead of the post bound because it is easier for me to work with. My paper and all the cute little 3D stickers and rhinestone accents were purchased from Michael's, Hobby Lobby & Wal-Mart. I reserved pages for pictures, alternating black and white pages, and the guests used black or silver pens to write well wishes on designated pages. Pretty Simple. I can't wait to get my pro-pics in to fill in some of the empty pages ! |

Thursday, April 15th & Friday, April 16th --
Ok Ladies...I have a day of rest. I did get ALL my crapped moved and into My Love's garage, which is now my garage too? Anyway...seems all the moving, dust, etc has gotten me congested and not feeling 100%, so of course I'm gonna spend the day catching up on WBC !
I got a great deal on this set of jewelry at Best Choice Jewelry in Dallas. I was in WHBM (White House Black Market) looking for a reception dress on Thursday and was eyeing this necklace !! It was $78 dollars ! I went to get the other bracelet that I wanted for my ceremony and and found the EXACT SAME NECKLACE at Best Choice Jewelry for under $15, and the earrings came with it ! I also had to get the matching bracelet !!! I think I spent under $30 for the whole set !! EEEK !! Talk about mark-up ! SO....I went back into WHBM and showed the girls my necklace set and they couldn't believe it either..!! Friday was a crazy day for me. It was going so well in the first few hours, and then my coordinator started irritating me and I spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME JACKING AROUND WITH HER ! UGH ! By the end of our 6 hours together, I wanted to slap her, and I needed alcohol.. I rented rooms for my Dad and My Love's Best Friend at the Sheraton. I went to pay for them and get keys and a friend and I ended up in the bar there. I had a few Dirty Martini's and then was introduced to the Mexican Martini. By the end of the night I was ordering Dirty Mexicans?! Yes I was wasted. I finally got home around midnight, I think? I don't remember. I got a call from My Love and he was a little pissed that I was liquored up..BUT I HAD A GREAT TIME ! The Sheraton will see me again...SOON. ~Mexican Martini~ 2 ounces Patron Silver 1 ounce Cointreau 1-2 ounces Sprite 1 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice Juice of 1/2 of a fresh lime .. ... to make it dirty, add a little olive juice ! |
