Wedding day part 8

I found it so amazing that in this very important time, on this important day in front of the Lord & all our loved ones I had him next to me, Sharing every moment with me. I suppose it sums up what a marriage is, for every important & not so important moment, He will be right next to me, the person that I promised my love to, the person that I chose to spend my life with. How amazing!

We decided to write out own vows & it was so special. It was not just words but our own words to each other, our own promises.
Here are my vows:

“Today in front of God & our loved ones I would like to make a promise to you.

I promise to be the best that I can be & work everyday at making you happy.
I promise to be your friend when you need one,
Your shoulder when you need to cry,
Your partner when you want to dance in the rain,
Your light when there is darkness,
Your rainbow after every storm & more than anything I promise to love you like no one else ever could, with all my heart & soul & with everything in me. Now & forever. “

The first sentence was a bit shaky as I just wanted to cry but I took a few breaths & it went better from there.
Vic’s vows were beautiful! So true to him & the person that he is.

We had so many comments after the ceremony that people were saying that they found our vows so special & that it made a few of them cry.
LOVE THAT!

The last part of the ceremony was when the pastor blessed us which had me crying, the whole sermon was so powerful, I suppose it’s because for that one time it’s about us & what we are promising & advise to help us in our lives together.
