Took quite a while to make 100 invitations myself. Especially since I decided to go with a hard design.
The black blocks were all cut & painted black, then I had to wrap each block in Turquoise blue LACE (The pic doesn't do the colour justice). Trust me, wrapping 200 little blocks in lace is no easy task.
Then 3 purple squares were cut in purple paper & the writing had to fit exactly in the square blocks.
The ribbon's had to be beautified with crystals & of course the whole invite had to be put together.
What a Job! Thank goodness for good friends to help out.
What do you think?
So far, everyone loves it. I'm so impressed with how it came out. Just a pity these pictures doesn't look the same as it does in real life.
The pics illustrate how it works. The little wrapped block is the first step, then when it's opened it opens like a accordion until you can see the whole invite. :-)
Great job!
I just posted my DIY Pocketfold Invitation so I definitely know the work that goes into it!
You are all making me feel much more confident. Thank you!!!
@jynnibelle. don't laugh. I used Paper boxes that I cut into squares & painted as I couldn't get cardboard that was think or hard enough. LOL
You'll need 3 A4 papers. Then you need to cut off the side so that you end up with 3 square pieces of paper. Messurements have to be exact.
I printed on the paper & then pasted from there.
Remember that because you turn the square paper you need to print scew so that it will be upright when you open it.
I did quite a few test pages to make sure that the text lines up & that everything looks nice & fits in.
Use normal paper to do your tests as you might have to do it a few times.
Good luck.
