I hate dessert. Go ahead say something like, "How can you possibly hate dessert?!" I hate chocolate. I like mint ice cream and gummi bears. Yep.

So I'm a little obsessed with my hair. I had 16 inches cut off a little over a year ago and donated it to locks of love. Now, with the wedding fast approaching, I'm worried I don't have enough to do many styles that I like.

My first blog! Woot!
Here goes the scoop on all things Emily and Richard. We've been engaged for more than three years. He's 23, I'm 22. I'm a senior in college finishing up my last semester as we speak. I'm a middle grades education major and I am in the middle of student teaching. We met at Ft. Bragg,NC (both our dad's are military) and then I moved to Charlotte, NC for school (about three hours away) about a year later he moved down too. Then he got this amazing opportunity to take an internship for the Pentagon in DC. Well, it's been almost a year now since he left and it's put a huge strain on our lives and our relationship. The worst part of this (besides not seeing each other) is try to plan a wedding in northern VA when I live 400 miles south!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I have never met the photographer my fiancee booked, never met the DJ, baker, florist...nada. He's having to do it all. I'm stressed stressed stressed about the whole deal. I wanted to plan my own wedding but instead I have to leave it to my mom and fiancee (who are both amazing and know my style) but still!!!! On top of it all--they're stressed about it too! I feel completely trapped and suffocated by the ordeal and I just want to get married already!
