Is it true that wedding dresses usually come about 2 sizes larger than your regular size? Or do they fit exactly the size that you are?

Because I tried on a wedding gown (to find my gown size) and it ended up being 2 sizes bigger than what I am! It made me feel fat lol.

I've been exercising & dieting & so far I've lost 20 lbs, my goal is to weigh 140 lbs (that's what I'm supposed to weigh for my height). I will get there! I am more determined than ever!

So do yall think that is true about the dress size? Please someone let me know, thanks!

I'm just curious...do any brides out there have monster in laws?

I love my future mother in law so much, she is a great person... the only thing is that she has a strong character and well sometimes she is just too strict or bold about things... but then again, she is a pastor. Which would explain it all... but she's not a bad person. I was just curious and I wondered about all the lovely brides out there... do you feel a connection with your future in laws or is it hard to connect with them?

I went to the Open House that my reception hall was holding this past weekend, it was so that all the lovely brides can sample different foods that they would like to have at the wedding.

I sampled the Chicken Mozzarella, then Chicken Royale, then Chicken Cacciatore, and finally Chicken Poblano.

I did not like neither of those dishes... however we did sample cajun grilled chicken & dirty rice and that was awesome! Still have not decided but will let yall know soon!

I was going to use red at first for my wedding theme color, but after going to the Open House at the reception hall this past weekend, they had a room set up with red sashes on the chairs & tablecloths on the tables... it didn't look as good as I had expected... So I decided it will no longer be red.

I saw several tables decorated with other colors & I fell in love but I don't know which one looks better. The ones that I liked the most were the gold color, champagne color, and brown colored tables. They look so pretty!

I have 2 questions though...

#1. If I did decide to use gold as seen in the pictures, wouldn't that make it look like a 50th anniversary wedding? Or is it ok to still use that color...

Then my 2nd question...


Does anybody know how to add a color to your profile? I know it says "edit profile" but the colors are limited... is that all you can choose from? Because if I change my color I want to change it on the profile as well. Let me know guys, thanks!


P.S.: Please give me your opinion about which color is the loveliest in the pictures! I'd really appreciate it!

I am a HUGE perfume lover & so everyday I wear perfume... but there just has to be a special perfume out there that should be for that special day...something sweet but not too strong, but that smells soooo good! Anyone know? I was thinking Armani Code by Giorgio Armani but my sister said it smells good but not to wear for that day... so I'm stuck....

I often wonder how my make up will be worn that day... my sister has a MAC cd with a tons of makeup tricks & tips and it seems great the only thing I want to know is, should your makeup look natural on the day of your wedding? Or can it be a bit dark so that when your photographer takes pictures of you it may seem that you are wearing makeup... Anyone? Please if you have the answer to this question, let me know! Thanks!

Well this is how it all went down... he proposed to me on November 9th of 2007. We've been engaged since then and just taking it slowly and not rushing into it, because when he proposed, he was only 20 and I was 21. And so now, I am 23 going on 24 and he is 22 going on 23. We feel ready & are inlove more than ever. We both come from christian families who strongly believe in waiting for the right person and having intimacy with him/her until you are married. His parents are pastors & my parents are ministers. And so we started dating in high school, we both went to different schools, but I met him at my church. The night he proposed, we were celebrating our 3 yr anniversary as a couple. So all the way from Nov 6th (the day he asked me to be his girlfriend) all the way to November 9th, we were boyfriend & girlfriend. But that night is when my life changed & gave me the surprise I had been waiting for. He took me to a fancy restaurant slash hotel in downtown Houston, called The Monarch or ZaZa, and it was to celebrate our anniversary being a couple. So you know, I got all dolled up & curled my hair & I was just so excited! Our dinner reservation was scheduled for 8pm but when I saw that it was 10 min's until 8 o'clock & he hadn't arrived... I started to worry. I called him like a gazillion times but it would only go straight to voicemail. So I just looked out the window to see if he would show up, finally, around 8:20 or so, he showed up. I ran out to meet him & he just gave me a big hug, he had been in an accident that's why he was late. It was a minor accident but the other driver (teen driver) crushed his door on the right passenger side. So he had gone home to switch vehicles. I asked him if he was okay & told him that if he wanted we could just have dinner some other time, but he just smiled and said we were still going to dinner at ZaZa. So when we arrived at our destination, they still had our seating reserved which I thought was so nice of them to hold for us (because my fiance had called them to let them know we were running a bit late). So as we are gestured toward our table, I notice that our table had beautiful candles & rose pedals. I was so touched! And right by our table was a huge window with a beautiful water fountain shooting water so high! The whole time I noticed he just kept staring at me & telling me how beautiful I am & he looked nervous but it never crossed my mind that he was going to propose. After dinner & dessert, we walked outside and took a brief walk to the waterfalls right across the street (popular place for wedding & sweet 16 pictures). We were holding hands & just talking to each other but I noticed he kept staring at me as if thinking,"Ok here's the moment to do it" but he wouldn't. But finally he stopped walking & took ahold of my hands & faced me, he started telling me that he loves me so much & that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I hugged him & kissed him but still had no clue what he was about to do! Then he continued talking & saying that I was his world & that he wants to be with me always, and as he spoke, he got down on one knee, and I gasped! I started saying,"Oh my god, are you serious?" and he just simply asked me, "Will you marry me?" and I was just so shocked & started crying! It was a perfect moment, and I was just so happy that I couldn't say yes lol. He finally told me,"You can say yes now" lol & I just shouted yes yes yes! We hugged & cried & we were just so happy... we got home around 1 in the morning or so, even to say that he went to go speak to my parents that night! He woke them up & gave them the news that I said yes, but this whole time, my parents & his parents knew that he was going to propose & I didn't know! So it was the best surprise ever! And now we are finally going to get married next year, July 24th of 2010. So excited! I will keep you all updated & posted on what's going on in our wedding plans! This is my engagement ring! My fiance proposed to me after having a wonderful anniversary dinner (just as boyfriend/girlfriend couple) and he had been planning it the whole time! That's when my life changed & he decided to kick it up a notch by proposing. I love the ring, it's white gold, 1kt, and engraved inside the ring are the words, "Past, present, future". He is so wonderful!

Well I have obviously not decided on a wedding dress & I like so many! I know that when I see it I will know it's the one, Kinda like when you meet a guy lol. What do you think of these dresses? Plz let me know!

Hello everybody! I want to share with you all that this Sunday, May 17th, my fiance & I will be going to The Pavilion Royale's open house (our reception hall) to sample our food for the wedding! I know that our wedding isn't until next year in July, but I couldn't wait! Lol, they hold several open houses through out the year, but I wanted to go already because it's just a wonderful feeling being engaged & knowing that you are soon to marry. Yall know how that is :) Well I had a menu to choose from, and I could only choose 4 dishes to sample on Sunday, I chose the Chicken poblano, the Chicken Cacciatore, Chicken Royale, and finally the Chicken Mozzarella.
