Just wanted to let you know that I have had wonderful etsy experiences with the exception of this disaster.
I paid over $500 for all flowers and boutonnieres and corsages for my wedding party in March. Delivery was to be August 15th. Waited patiently and no delivery. Contacted vendor - she said she "would have it to me before my wedding - even if she had to overnight it" Uhhh my wedding is in December??? Hello - you have had my money for FIVE MONTHS??
I asked for a refund - she wrote a nasty nasty reply and offered to pay me in two installments - which I agreed to. Then after two weeks and no refund I get an offer of $75.00
Here is what she said:
" I will send the brooches you sent me and the bouquet holder and fabric.
I will however, not send your bouquet since you wish to have a full refund.
In two weeks I get paid my measly check from my measly night shift job that i work from 7 pm until 4 in the morning at. I wake up everyday at 3 in the afternoon and have to drive an hour to work to get there so I have 3 hours before going to work.I wrote to you with updates and you also knew that weddings before yours got first priority, as when I made my list that you didn't bother to look at. I have a bride whose wedding is friday and I am overnighting her bouquet to her and she is being a lot more reasonable and friendly about my current situation than yourself. When I receive my check in two weeks I will refund half of your money to you. Then you will have to wait another two weeks for the other half. I am not made of money and am not a dentist so it takes me 4 weeks to come up with 545.20. Hope this is a sufficient explanation and solution to your dilemma, thank you.

Could not complain to paypal as they only protect for 45 days. Finally went to my credit card company and got all but $140 back (less because not all was on the card)
Moral of the story - pay a deposit only - then see pictures - then pay - all within 45 days - and use your credit card!!
The photo is what she supposedly made me
I hope all goes well with you!!!
Now that is horrible news. That leaves a bad name for a lot of us honest ones! I'm furious about this and this is definitely not right. You must be super careful from ordering from people you don't know. Go by word of mouth, reputation or postive energy. Me, myself have taken orders for bouquets, bouts, gift boxes, menus and more. I take the pay pal payment up front, to buy materials as needed to completion for shipping out on time. I tell the future brides that when or approx. how long it will take to complete their dream orders and such. I don't believe in stringing my WBC family or any other person along with some bullcrap of an excuse. I've had nothing but good raves about my customer service and completion on requested projects. This kind of thing messes it up for a lot of honest people.
Sorry for your sad news, I hope you have better luck next time.
Thank for your comments - can't believe you tangled with the same person....Did you lose money??
I am so so close to Charlotte (NC mountains) You need any stuff for your day let me know!!

The seller removed their ebay account and would not reply to my emails. It wasn't for flowers, but for a wedding dress...Still have never heard from them, or been able to get my money back. I was passed the 45 day policy as well, since it was supposed to take 6-8 weeks to make.
So glad to hear you were able to get most of your money back at least!!
