So I've lived in my area for over a year but I have very few girl-friends to spend time with and thanks to life being so hectic the few friends I do have I've drifted away from and don't see very often.

My closest family members are 2 hours away and my parents and siblings are anywhere from 6-22 hours away.

I went to try on a few dresses the other day and the ladies in the store looked at me like I was just randomly came in to play dress up because I was there alone, but I dont have anyone that will go with me.

Its making me absolutely miserable, I went two stores, the one store I went too (where my picture was taken) all of the women were rude and hardly paid any attention to me, all four of them catering to the girl and her family who were getting a dress for prom. I only tried on one dress...the dress I saw at a fashion show in the bridal fair. When I saw that dress I thought it was THE dress, I almost cried just seeing it, but the ladies in that store were so rude and offered no advice on how it looked that I just put it back and left. I sent the pics to my friends and family but all of them said that the dress was pretty but the pictures didnt show enough of what it looked like, so I couldnt even get an opinion then.

The second store I went too didnt have the dress I was looking for but they had me try on TONS. Once they heard I had no one local half the women in the store stopped what they were doing and rushed over to help me and give me opinions and everything. It wasnt my family but I actually felt like these ladies cared a bit.

Still its not the same as having my mom and my sister and my cousin here and Im depressed and actually afraid to go to another dress shop in fear of being treated rudely and getting even more depressed.

Is anyone else dealing with this? If so how are you getting past it?

A friend of mine bought her flowers there when she was married and passed the site along to me. Their natural touch flowers are AMAZING and they really do look like real flowers without the high price tag.

I settled on dark purple and silver as the colors for our wedding, I want our reception to be at sunset going into the night, I think it will add a really nice touch.

Im pretty sure I am going to go with roses and calla lilies for our flowers. I really like how they look together and the calla is my absolute favorite flower of all time so of course it is a must to have at the wedding.

Once I am able to get pictures of the place I contacted for our reception I will post a new entry with pics, I definitely want opinions on that one.

So I registered for 2 bridal shows today, the Spring Show Bridal Fair in Monroeville, PA at the Monroeville Convention Center on April 10th and the Summer Show Bridal Fair in Pittsburgh, PA at the Consol Energy Center on July 31st. I've registered for a few bridal shows the past two months and NEVER have I recieved so many emails!

Within the 30 minutes of registering my inbox had 50 emails from all kinds of different vendors with a bunch of information that I was looking for.

As happy as I am to be getting information so quickly, I'm beginning to wish I had used an email that I didnt have connected to my phone LOL.

Still this is a very helpful start, our whole wedding just changed since we had to cancel our trip to Hawaii.....I guess its actually time to start reading these
