Etiquette?
Save the Dates

I've been planning to print address labels for the save the dates (we're mailing over 200). I was browsing online this morning & saw several websites that say to never use printed address labels - it's bad etiquette.

What do you gals think? I can understand writing the addresses by hand on the actual invitations, but on the STD? Would you even notice if you received a STD with an address label on it?

Eh, I personally think it's a little old fashioned. ;-) I hand wrote my save the dates ONLY because I didn't have very many, I only sent them to out of state people. But I am using labels for the invitations, just too many, and no one thinks about it anyway. :)

Really??? I didn't know it was out of date for address labels. LOL
Avery labels are the #1 sellers of labels and stickers to this day?  They have an amazing tutorial on their site for so many ideas.  I wouldn't say it's out dated. Many businsses still use them.  Anywho, it doesn't matter?  I'm thinking back on the last time I received an address label envelope?  Friday on Xmas eve, but I didn't pay attention to it being an label our not. I was just excited to get the mail/card. LOL

Also, the amzing thing about using labes (clear labels) you can change the font to whatever you like. Still classy to me.

My point was having to hand write them was old fashioned. I was totally saying to go with the labels. Sorry that was mistaken.

I'm with phillysgirl5 and I'm old fashion as well and hand wrote mine for the save the dates and will do so for the invitations, on the invitations I had the return address printedon the back flap since it's only the senders address that needs to be in hand writting.  I had my mom and sis grab a pen and get to work to cut down the work load.  Good luck!!

I don't know much about etiquette, since Chinese has a completely different set. But I would appreciate a printed label, you can get really creative with those and it's more uniformed in style.
