Wedding Day
Snapshots
Here's a sneak peek of our wedding day! These are just snapshots from my mom's camera. We can't wait to see actual photos from the photographer. Everything was absolutely perfect & we couldn't have been happier. We couldn't believe how quickly the day went - as if all the moments blurred together.
Enjoy the photos! The church was absolutely breathtaking & we loved every minute of our ceremony. |

Wedding Day:
It's Here!
Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Today was busy with decorating the church, organizing the rehearsal, & the rehearsal dinner (which was a LUAU - YES). I can't wait to share some photos from today & of course all of the photos from tomorrow. My future sis-in-law picked out this awesome white cocktail dress that I wore during the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner.
Overall, I'm really pleased with the way everything came together. This morning, the parlor where the girls will be getting ready didn't have AC.....luckily they had it fixed by this evening. The lanterns look awesome lining the aisle & I can't wait to see it with the scattered rose petals. The only snag was the pew clips. I really didn't want to use flowers as pew markers (I'm not a huge flower lover) so I found these really cute inital signs with ribbon. I didn't realize though, how ugly the clear plastic pew clips looked with the signs. Luckily my planner agreed to figure something out. My mom had bought a ton of silk star-gazer lillies (our flower) at the Dollar Tree and I picked up some white peacock feathers. She's going to try to figure something out for us :) The rehearsal seemed a bit rough at first as went spent a good while trying to organize the communion process. Once we got those details settled the rest of the rehearsal was a piece of cake. I was freaking out because it felt like we were standing up there forever, but it only took about an hour and a halr - which is what we planned for! We were a bit worried whether the flower girl will make it down the aisle. She really didn't want to do it tonight during rehearsal. She compromised tonight by walking down solo and then sitting with mom in the front row instead of standing with the party. Either way, I'm completely fine with it. I know she'll look precious in the photos so I'm not going to get worked up about it. The FH & I are just ready for tomorrow to finally get here. We're both going to bawl just like big babies & yet are still excited for that moment. Well, I suppose that's it! Signing off for the last time as Ms. Babb. See you soon as Mrs. Wiggin! P.S.....The FH is letting me bring the laptop on the honeymoon just so I can fill you in on all the details! |

Honeymoon
Swimsuits!
I saw another bride post this, so I just couldn't help myself. Here are the swimsuits I'm packing for the honeymoon. We're going to Antigua & staying at the Galley Bay Resort, so I'm hoping to basically live in a swimsuit everyday while we're there. Here's a quick rundown of where I bought each suit & the super deals I scored:
Black/Pinkish-Purple Polka Dots: Walmart! The top & bottom were about $15 each, but I'm a little bummed about the top. Walmart had (and still has) tons of these bottoms left, but I purchased the very last top. It's a little big, but I think I can make it work. Zebra: Kmart! What a score here! I got these on sale; $14 each for top and bottom. It's accented with leopard print. The FH isn't a huge fan of the animal prints, but for the price I just loved it. Solid Purple: Old Navy. Not sure of the price on this one. This was a gift from his mother at our Jack & Jill shower. I really like it though, since it's the only suit I have that doesn't have a padded top. Kind of nice to mix it up! Hot Pink: Victoria's Secret! MY FAVORITE! Okay, so this definately wasn't a steal. In face I bought it last year & probably paid around $70 for both pieces. However, it is definately a suit that will last for at least 5 more years. The quality is remarkable & the color has yet to fade, It's looks as neon now as the day I bought it, even though I've worn it over and over again. VS is totally worth the price, but I have to limit myself to one nice suit from there every few years. Green/White: Target! I was really impressed by target here. The quality of the top is very similar to VS. It's really padded & has a great fit. I probably paid around $30-$40 for this one. If you haven't already noticed, I really love the padded tops. Last year I was so impressed by the pushup VS top, even though I didn't think I would like it. This year I noticed that almost all of the stores (even Walmart) were beginning to carry the same style of padded pushup tops. |

Bachelorette Party
Lingerie Shower
Wow! Only 3 days! Things are kicking into high gear as the weekend approaches. Sunday night was my Bachelorette/Lingerie Party. One of my bridesmaids (and future sis-in-law) Jenn coordinated the event and themed it as an "Ooh La La!" party. I absolutely LOVED the cake! I had seen pictures of cakes like that floating around Facebook, so I was so excited when I saw that she had one made for the party.
About the dress: I just have to take a few minutes to brag about this feather dress! It originally came out at Dillard's with the junior prom stuff, but cost $189. I just couldn't bring myself to paying that much for a dress, even though in my mind it was the PERFECT party dress for my theme. Well on the day before the big shower, I went shopping with another bridesmaid (and sis-in-law) Laci in search of a white cocktail dress for the rehersal. While digging through the sale racks I just happened to see the pink feathers sticking out. I quickly grabbed the dress & asked the sales lady if it was supposed to be on the rack. I was blown away by the price....only $9.99! Let's just say it was one of the best shopping days ever! |

Monogram
I did it! I took the plunge and created our own monogram! I've been working on the ceremony program, but wanted something catchy for the front cover. After about 30 minutes of searching online & playing with Microsoft Word, this is my product.

Ask a Question
Final Days Agenda?
As expected the month of June has flown by. Congrats & best wishes to all of my other June brides whose dates are quickly approaching.
Anyway, now on to the question. What did you/are you doing during the final countdown? I thought I would be super busy with last minute details (I'm a huge procrastinator), but surprisingly I only have a few loose ends to tie up before we say "I do." Therefore, I've spent these few days lounging by the pool, reading another Nicholas Sparks book (The Choice), tanning, and watching movies with the FH. Oh yeah, the ice cream...can't forget to mention that we went to TCBY or Dairy Queen every day last week. Let's just say my fingers are crossed for fitting into my dress! This week his sister will come in from NH to host my lingerie/bachelorette party on Sunday night. Once that's over it will all be a downward spiral as more relatives come into town. I expect we'll be spending lots of time visiting with them, since they traveled so far to be with us on our big day. The only HUGE things I need to finish are finalizing the ceremony with the pastor and creating/printing the programs. |

Wedding Hair Style
Hair Trial
Yesterday I had my hair trial & I was extremely happy with the results. Best of all, it barely took her 45 minutes to curl, set, & pin up! I have long hair & it holds curl fairly well, but I was really impressed with how quick she works.
I'm going to have her reverse everything so that my part will be going to the other side of my face. I love how the feathers turned out. I ended up giving in and purchasing the huge, white feather fascinator from David's Bridal (luckily, it was on clearance). When I went to shoot my bridals, the stylist added the black feathers. It was just a piece of feathers from a roll (think ribbon) that he picked up at Hobby Lobby. I've included my inspiration picture too so you can see what we were going for! |

Damask Letters
I've been meaning to post about our damask wooden letters for quite some time. I purchased the white wooden letters at Hobby Lobby, along with some damask-pattern stamps. When I tried stamping the letters, it looked really smudgy. Luckily the FH took over and created the beautiful damask patterns that you see in the photos. He used some type of metal roofing brackets to make the letters stand up on their own. We made the "I DO" letters and also our monogram "LWC" to set somewhere on tables at the reception.

15 days!
We're 15 days out and everything (hopefully) is falling into place. This week we took all of the reception decorations to our wedding planner, who will keep them in her office until she decorates the ballroom for us. I also finalized all of the ceremony music with the pianist & organist - hopefully I can create some kind of playlist to put on here so you can hear what we've selected. We also picked up our travel documents from the travel agent - we're going to Antigua! Maybe I'll get a chance to write another blog entry today on our resort.
Today our goal is to finish filling out all of the paperwork for our reception DJ. It's a packet that details everything from the grand entrance music to the last dance. Hopefully we'll be able to select our grand entrance song & last dance song today (we can't make up our minds). To Do: FInalize order with florist Create & print ceremony programs Finalize guest rsvp list (now we're at 182!) Pack for honeymoon Get marriage license Keeping tanning :) We're just taking it day by day for now. The FH is on a break between building houses, so we're enjoying both being home each day and marking things off our to-do list. My worst nightmare is that the morning of June 23 will arrive and suddenly I'll remember something that I forgot to do! |
