Ask a Question
Anyone Else Doing a Photo Book Rather Than the Traditional Guest Book?

I am going to make a photo book on kodakgallery.com to use as my guest book, rather than having a traditional one, where the guests simply "sign in" to your reception. It just seems so much more fun. You can design it yourself with all your own pictures, leaving some pages blank for guests to leave messages and well wishes. Is anybody else doing this? If so, are you only putting pictures of you and your fiance in it, or are you filling it with pictures of family and friends that may actually be guests at your wedding? I can't decide which way to do it. My fiance and I have been together for 10 years, so I kind of think it would be cute to use the book as kind of a time line of our relationship, and then have our guests leave words of advise and well wishes amongst all the pictures. Is it tacky to have a WHOLE book of just pictures of us though?

My friend just did this - so cute. They did pics of just the two of them because it gets complicated to try and find good pics of the whole family, plus it is supposed to be about the two of you. Timeline idea sounds cute!

When friends of mine got married, their wedding gift to each other was a digital SLR camera.

They had the camera set up at the wedding, and asked two of his cousins to take the pictures.  The guests had their pictures taken, then wrote something in the book.  The picture was placed next to him or her.

I love that idea! That's so much better than the traditional guest book. It encourages more well wishing comments instead of just a signature. not to mention it's fairly easy and cheap to do.

This is an excellent idea!  And I agree, I think it should just be a timeline of you two...when else will it ever be just about the two of you?!  :)  Are you formatting this in black and white/sepia pictures, or color?
