More DIY things..
Birdcage Card Holder..Damask Bubbles..Candy Buffet Sign
So this weekend I finished more of the DIY projects that needed to get done..
Here is a picture of my black birdcage card holder..damask bubbles..and my candy buffet sign! For the bubbles, I took plain bubbles then wrapped them in damask packing tape..then tied a black ribbon on them! Just for 75 bubbles it took over 25 yards of ribbon to make the bows..I could not believe it! I also finished all the name tags for the candy buffet to put on each of the container..I will have to take pictures of it all put together! The candy buffet sign will be placed on a seperate table that is holding the damask take out boxes beside the candy buffet! Sorry some of the pictures are dark and not very good quality..I had to use my old camera since I can't find my newer one..haha! Can't wait to show you guys the rest of my little projects that have been done! =) |

Wedding Cake
..our final decision
After going back and forth trying to decide if we wanted a damask cake..we decided to go with a simple cake on a damask table cloth!
Instead of the clear crystal brooches we will be using one that has the black crystals! It will be 4 tier round with green and white flowers on top on a satin damask tablecloth! |

DIY Chinese Take-Out Boxes..
For The Candy Buffet
Other DIY project was checked off the list when my MOH and I worked our butts off putting these together.
We used the plain boxes then put the damask packing tape on them..cut off the excess tape..used a ribbon and personlized hang tags!! These took forever to put together but I think they turned out a lot better than we were both expecting!! So here they are!! =) |

DIY Invitations..
DONE!
DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE!! So happy to be able to say that!!
Well yesterday my MOH and I worked our butts off getting the invitations put together and done!! Plus a 100 other little things that needed to get done Now all we need to do is get the postage and have them mailed out the beginning of January! I still can't believe that the invitations are finally done!! It was such a huge task. Here is a picture of one of the finished invitaitons. The names are blurred out..never know whos going to get your information..haha! We had to print the invitations, rsvp cards and labels!! Then put all of them together!! It was so much work! But I think it pays off when seeing how well they turned out! The ribbon is put around the invitations to hold the rsvp cards onto the back! Let me know what you think!! =) |

New Items..
yay!
Well today I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some ribbon for my wedding cake and for my invitations..
and found this awesome platter!! It fits my matches perfectly!! I'm going to use it on the bar!! Love it! =) I have found so many great things at Hobby Lobby including these awesome ornaments for my Christmas tree and flocked damask ribbon!! I feel so sorry for the brides that do not have a Hobby Lobby near them!! Also, if anyone needs bows made..they make them there too!! For only $1 when you buy the ribbon. The ribbon is usually 50% off. So you end up getting a great deal on bows!! |

green and white centerpieces
For some reason my post about my DIY centerpieces got deleted!!
So here are the pictures from when I went to the wholesaler and decided to do my own centerpieces. These will be on the cocktail tables and at the bar area!! We used white and green spider mums, green button mums, green roses and white carnations. My MOH and I went to a local flower wholesale shop and was able to make 4 vases of flowers for the price that it would have costed us for 1 at the florist! So looks like we will be putting flower arrangments together the day before the wedding!! |

Damask RSVP Cards
So here are a few pictures of my DIY RSVP Cards..
I wanted something simple yet elegant for my response cards..I will be working on my invitations over the Thanksgiving Break..when I have extra hands to help me! I went ahead and printed out all the invitations when I printed out the RSVP cards, just need to put them together. I will have pictures to post once the invitations get finished! But here is a sample of my RSVP Cards!! One more thing off my list of many things that need to get done Let me know what ya think!! |

Haven't posted in awhile..
120 days to go!
Well tomorrow will start the 4 month count down until the wedding!!
I am starting to freak out!! Back in October we changed the wedding date and location so I pretty much had to start from scratch!! Not much fun at all!! But just wanted to post some new items that I have purchased over the past month!! I have all the jars for the candy bar!! Now just have to buy the candy! Not sure if I want to do green candy, since its our accent color..or do an all white candy bar!! I purchased the damask plates at TJ Maxx for the sweetheart table! I also purchased the awesome damask style glass water bottles! Thought it would be nice to add at the bar in case someone didn't want just beer or wine. The mirrored damask frames are going to be at the bar also, to put up the beer selection and wine selection. I found these awesome black champagne flutes at Hobby Lobby!! I was so excited when I found those. That is where I found the black fleur de lis crystals at also! Also, I freaked out because I was able to find wired white taffeta ribbon with flocked damask on it!! Shown in the last picture..an upclose view of the flocked damask Sorry I've been MIA over the past month..just have tons of stuff to get done..and now only 4 months to do it..Freak out mode..haha! |

Official Bridesmaid Dress..
..made a few changes
Here is a picture of my Maid of Honor, Tiffany in the bridesmaid dress that we chose!
After having her try on the Jim Hjelm dress..it was clear that he WToo dress is a better choice for my bridesmaids! Of course, it will be in black instead of the champagne color! But doesn't she look great in it! The 3rd picture is a picture of the same dress, but black taffeta with a sweetheart neckline! Since my wedding dress is taffeta and has a sweetheart neckline we decided to go with the plain black satin! So it wouldn't look too much like my dress! Also, I've included pictures of her in the Jim Hjelm dress that I thought I would go with..but after seeing the other choices it just didn't look the best!! So now, if we can get the girls to order their dress! We are at 4 months and some odd days out! I'm getting more excited each day that passes! |
