Our Wedding Slideshow!
I've added our wedding slideshow to the knot so it would be easy to share with everyone. The quality of the video isn't the greatest on the knot but it's easier then clicking through all the pictures on here.
Let me know what you think! My husband put the video slideshow together with the pictures from our photographer. How did you determine your color on WBC? (wedding by color)
Is your wedding color determined by your bridesmaid dresses, your flowers or is it the main color that you're using for your wedding in general?
I notice that WBC finally added "black" and "white" as color options which made me rethink my "green" choice for my wedding. My bridesmaid dresses were black and the flowers and decor for our wedding were green and white. I can't say that any one of my 3 colors were more prominent then the others unless you take into account the primarily "green" backdrop of our wedding at a golf course and our green apple theme. I feel like most brides determine their "color" by their bridesmaid dresses. So does that make my wedding green, black or white on WBC? How did you decide what color you are? :) |

I love my purple shoes!
These are by far the most comfortable heels I've ever worn! I was planning on changing my shoes for the reception and completely forgot and ended up wearing them the whole night (dancing and all!) because they were so comfortable!

Our photographer sent us some teasers ...
We asked for a couple of portrait shots that we could print and send along with our thank you cards and these are the shots they sent us. I can't wait to see the whole day through our professional photos, there is so much of the day that I feel like I haven't seen yet!

We're Married!!!
Here's a sneak peak at our day ...
Wow what an amazing feeling. We're finally married! We had such a great day, the weather was perfect and just about everything went as planned! I can't believe how fast the day went by and how quickly it all came to an end. Savour every minute of it!!

Getting Married in 2 Days!!!
I'm so excited the day is fast approaching!
This is probably the last time I'll be logged into this site as a Miss so I thought I'd say goodbye for now! I'll try and update everyone with pictures after the wedding is over. I'm so excited! :)

Wedding Dress
2nd Fitting - I love my dress!
I love love love love love my dress!!!! It's gorgeous! I'm so excited. I can't believe I have to wait another 30 days to wear it!! My seamstress is working miracles, the bust area of this dress was HUGE at my first fitting. It's starting to look so much better. The next fitting it should be perfect! She did a great job of lowering the back (it's not finished yet so it's not done up properly).
Here are some pics of the work in progress! If I love it now I can only imagine how much I'm going to love it when all the alterations are done! Oh and I decided on PURPLE shoes. So fun :) I couldn't find lime green and I love purple and green together so that's what I'm going with even though purple won't show up anywhere else in the wedding. It's unexpected and I love it :) |

Shoe Dilemma - Help!!
Really long story short. I found the perfect apple green coloured shoes. I called Nine West head office in Toronto and they told me these shoes would be available in Vancouver in July. Fast forward to Saturday when I go to pick them up ....
They are the WRONG COLOUR!!!!!! :( I absolutely love this colour with my white dress however it's not in our wedding colours! The apple green colour is not available anymore. My dilemma??? These are a blue/green coloured shoe and that colour appears no where in my wedding. I'm going to be carrying a bouquet of white gerbera daisies and green button mums (which are like a lime green colour, I'll attach a picture). I need advice and your opinions. Do you think the colour of the shoes will clash with the flowers??? The "isle" I'll be walking down is outside and it has stairs so you'll see my feet when I walk down the isle when I'm carrying my bouquet. For the most part your shoes and bouquet aren't close together nor even in the same shots but for the ones that are (ie. walking down the isle) do you think the colours clash? Or will it look like I tried to match the green and failed? What do you think? To wear or not to wear? Does the colour work?? Thank you! |

Thank-You Cards - When are you sending them?
This is a topic that really confuses me. Our wedding is 5 weeks away and we've just received our first gift from our registry at The Bay (the store called us to tell us it was there to be picked up.)
When do I send the thank you card? It feels strange sending it before we even see the guests at the wedding but from everything I've read it seems to be the proper etiquette. I guess if you're doing thank you cards that are made from a wedding picture the guests that give you a gift in advance of the wedding will just get a generic card with a personalized thank you inside. What are you doing? Or what did you do? Should I send thank you cards out as I receive the gifts or should I wait and send them all within a few weeks after the wedding? |
