The Wedding is Off!!
JOP instead and off to Iraq in less than 2 months!!
Hey ladies!! I know I have been MIA for months!! I prob don't even know most of you on here! Well here is an update....I got involuntary orders to go to Iraq with a unit here. I had VERY short notice of this. We will leave the beginning of June so my wedding in Sept obviously isn't going to happen. We will have our wedding of our dreams when I get home but I asked my honey what we wanted to do and he didn't want to wait to get married. So off we went! I was crying so hard when it was my turn to take vows that we had to stop for a moment because I couldn't talk lol. Now we are getting everything in order for me to leave and spending as much time as possible together. I start trying in two weeks and will not see him at all until right before I leave. Instead of the typical 2 weeks of leave soldiers normally get....we get four days with our families before we fly. On a bright note my parents will fly in tomm to stay with us until tues and I am soooo excited! I wish you all the VERY best of luck planning your weddings and beginning your life with your husbands. The beginning of our new life together certainly is not what we had in mind however I am loving married life and this situation certainly puts things into a different perspective for us. It feels as though it has made us even stronger than before! Good Luck Ladies and God Bless You!!!!

Please pray for our family
Our grandfather went with the Lord this afternoon
I have never watched someone take their last breath right in front of me. It was the most terrible experience I have ever been through and I just thank the Lord I was able to be here with my family and most imp my father. He lost his mother, my grandmother a few years ago around Christmas also. My fiance was here with me which I also am thankful for. Please keep my father in your prayers. Thanks girls!

Ask a Question
What tradition do you and your family do for Christmas that you are incorporating with your fiance?
It may be a little late to ask this but I was just thinking about how excited I am this year to be able to share some of my family traditions with my fiance as we embark on starting our own family.
So ill share what we are doing....every Christmas Eve since I was born my mother has giving me an ornament that is specific to me ....as in whatever it is makes her think of me or fits my personality or something i like. Its great looking back at the ornaments...like the angel....because i loved everything that had to do with angels or the tweety bird back when i was obsessed with the cute lil thing or my barney ornament because i just thought he was the coolest thing ever!! It humerous now to look at all of them and the memories just come flooding back! Anyways the ornaments stay on my parents tree until we are married. When we get married we are suppose to take our ornaments and put them on our tree. I have decided however i wanted to leave them at home on my parents tree and Justin and I are starting our own. This year we have a teeny little mini tree that sits in the kitchen and that tree alone is for our ornaments for each other and Kaytlynn. As the years go on and we have more ornaments we keep getting a bigger and bigger tree. Then eventually our tree with our ornaments will fill the tree we normally have up which is a decorative one. Hope this all made sense....Ive been just a lil bit tired here lately! So do you have a tradition with your fiance? Or your with your family that you and your fiance will be starting with your own family? |

Its been awhile....
so heres an update....
Hey ladies!! It feels like i haven't been on here in forever. I sure have a lot of catching up to do on some of my fav posts! Work has been VERY busy....I haven't had a day off since the 4th! However Im super excited because I get to go home for Christmas! My fiance is coming with me and he has the whole week off! Lately we have been seeing each other at 1030-11 at night because of our schedules. I haven't really done anything wedding related though because during what little free time i have we have been wrapping christmas. We bought decorations this year and its our first time having a place to decorate for Christmas and actually our first Christmas together because I normally have to work. I thought id share some pictures :)
I am now creating things for other brides and selling them in stores around my area which is exciting. Although the orders I have dont have to be filled until after the 1st which is a blessing! Its nice to do crafts things which i love and have fun doing it for other people so i see why so many other brides do it too. Things with my fiance's daughter's mother is not much different. Still the nasty things being said and lies being thrown every which way by her and her mother which is discouraging however i feel better about things now. I realized I don't have to deal with their lies, behavior or terrible personalities. Ive giving the problem to the Lord and they will have to face him for what they say and do. Thankfully his daughter is nothing like them which is a blessing. It is hard though when we have to take her home because she begs us to let her stay and wants to live with us. I pray about it and if its something God sees in the future then it will happen. Other than that Im obsessed with the Left Behind books now....if you haven't heard of them its about the Rapture. Im not trying to force religion on anyone at all...and if you don't like hearing about then please don't read my blog but ive become more religous along with my fiance. I just picked up one the books at FH's mothers house and then had to run and buy the rest! They are addicting and honestly have helped me so much! They made me renew my desire in knowledge of the Lord and now my fiance and I do devotionals each morning. I feel as though our relationship through Christ is not the only thing that has strengthened but also our relationship with each other. Im sorry if i have offended anyone but i just wanted to share. I hope each of you has a wonderful Christmas season with your families and God blesses you all!!!! |

Asking for your prayers once again
A bride who is sick...
Last weekend while home for thanksgiving I got to meet my Cousin's Fiance. She is just the most cutest thing! She was beautiful and had such a kind, warming personality that just drew you in. You wouldn't have been able to tell by her stunning personality that she had just spent Thanksgiving day and the entire weekend in the hospital with some of the scariest news being told to her.
You see Thanksgiving Day in the early hours she and my cousin were told they needed to rush to the hospital....something was wrong with the blood they had just taken the day before. During her course in the hospital she went through many painful tests. Each time they kept telling her we believe its Leukemia. Can you imagine? Here you are planning your wedding to the man of your dreams ladies...thinking all about your future together and then so young you have to hear this?! We got a lil bit of good news Yesterday. The tests showed its a very rare blood disease which means she will prob be on medication the rest of her life and could make children difficult for her and my cousin. I debated on whether or not to post this for awhile now because i really do not like putting other peoples business out there. However I know how sweet you ladies are and just take a moment and lift her up in prayer. This disease can most def lead to leukemia later and I pray with everything in my not only she does not have to ever go through that but also my cousin. I pray she has the most wonderful wedding and many miracles come her way with her health and her ability to have children. Please do the same. Thank you very much for taking a moment to read this and for including her into your prayers. I strongly believe prayer makes things happen and can move mountains!! |

Im also sad though because FH has to work so Ill be without him for a whole week! :( I hate being away from him for even a moment. I know Im pathetic but what can I say.....Im hopelessly in love.
I hope all you ladies have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are able to spend it with your family! |

NWR Please pray for my Fiance and I
Thanks!
My FH and I are going through some very terrible times with his former spouse involving their child. Its taken quite a toll on us the past couple of days and today was the worse. Any prayer is most appreciated right now as things seem to just be getting worse and we are both so emotionally drained right now. Thanks girls!

Favors.....sooooo adorable!
Looks good enough to eat!
So i found this over at the pink blog and couldn't believe how yummy they look. Ive heard of towel folding but never anything like this!!
This company takes everyday ordinary towels and assembles them to resemble real desserts! They are great gifts for any wedding event and can also double as table decorations. These gifts start as low $6.99 which is a very reasonable price for such an elegant, cute product which also comes specially gift-wrapped! www.leviette.com |
