Photobooth
Highlite of the Night!!
My husband didn't want the photobooth at first. He just didn't think it would be a hit...but on our way to our hotel room he said that one of the best ideas was the photobooth!
It turned out SOOOOO much fun and it was WORTH the money. We were looking at pricing and found a lot of rentals over 1000 dollars. We went on to Craigslist/classifieds and got our booth for 4 hours of unlimited photos for only $500!! We bought props at the dollar store and party store. And that is what everyone remembered. We didn't want our names on the photoprints. I wanted people to not have to explain to other people why our names were on THEIR pictures so we went generic and had the design say Live Laugh Love and the date of our wedding. |

Bridesmaids
HOT! And for a great price!
We found all of the dresses at Dress Barn! I let each girl pick out the dress they felt most comfortable in. They were all under 60 bucks and I know all of them will wear their dresses again! There was only one girl I didn't go with to get her dress and I am not sure I would have let her pick that particular one, but she was comfortable in it so I guess that is all that matters!
I also let them pick their own shoes and I paid for dying them. All in all, they ended up happy! |

Groomsmen
They looked awesome!
We decided the week before to change what the groom and groomsmen would be wearing. We originally were going to have the groomsmen in black tuxes, white shirts, and black vests and ties. And my groom was going to be in black tux, white shirt, ivory shirt and tie.
All along I wanted all black with the fuchsia vest and tie for the guys and all black with the ivory vest and tie for my hot groom! But Brian didn't think the guys would go for it. But after three of the guys saying okay, we just went with it. The other 3 guys complained a bit until they realized they all looked totally smokin! |

Flower Girls/Ring Bearer
I bought these dresses for 25 dollars a piece at Jolenes!!! We made the hair pieces and the pom poms. The shoes were Walmart!
The girls, overall, did great! The youngest needed a little bit of help but it was to be expected. My niece, Piper, threw her flowers at people in the audience. I can't wait to see the video of this! I heard it was hilarious! I had two ring bearers but my youngest nephew refused to even wear the tie, much less walk down the aisle or stand for pictures! So I ended up just having one! |

Wedding Day Mishaps!
But they didn't get me down!
Okay so I am finally getting around to writing about our wedding!
It honestly was the most perfect day of my life. No, everything did NOT go perfectly....BUTTTTTTTTTTTT....I had prepared myself that no matter what, I was not going to let it ruin my day...and it didn't!!!! But I am going to share them anyway because I believe other people can learn from your mistakes! Some of the things that went wrong, I hated my hair (I made the mistake of having someone who did not do a trial run with me, do my hair, because the lady who did my bridals could not come to the hotel) I dyed my shoes and my bridesmaid's shoes to match the sample flower that our flower boutique gave me in advance. The flower's that were there on my wedding day were a HOT pink and NOT a fuchsia! My photographer's equipment was not working like she wanted so she was stressed and snappy and not completely all there but the pictures turned out mostly great. I forgot my Veil and no one realized it until dinner time! I was not even going to WEAR a veil but then I found one I LOVED so I was disappointed but its all good. I thought I had made it clear we needed a microphone for the ceremony. I saw that Brian had one pinned onto his suitcoat, so I assumed that was for the audience, but it was actually for the videographer ;-( So most of the audience didn't hear our ceremony that I wrote. We started the ceremony 45 minutes late because we were waiting on my grandmother-this made dinner 1.5 hours late (whoopsie!) No one set out the bottled water so our guests didn't get hydrated and we ended up with 12 cases of bottled water left over. The caterer ran out of salad...How that works I know not! Our reception site said we had 5 days to pick up our stuff AFTER the reception, so that night it was all moved to the bride's rooms. Well our cardbox and presents got left there too! **********Wish I would have designated someone to pick that up! We have no idea if any cards were stolen or not. And no one cut our decorative cake so it all went to waste. Even with all these things, I didn't get upset or frustrated even once! I just enjoyed it and let it roll. I was very proud of myself and I have no regrets! |

Wedding Bells
I got these from Walmart...they were fairly cheap and came with the little poem on them.
We added the ribbon and had them sitting at every place on the tables...They turned out great and the guests had a lot of fun with them during dinner. And they ended up being used as an extra take home favor! The poem says: Let wedding bells sound a choruse They ask the bride and groom before us To share a kiss of harmony And bring true joy to all who see |
