I LOVE this style. My guy is picky about my hair. He has always said that he wants my hair down for the wedding day. I don't necessarily feel the same way. I have extremely thin hair, and if it gets windy it can get gross feeling fast. Plus there is a chance it could be really warm out, back of the neck sweat is gross with hair being down. With that rationalized, I'm sure he'll agree this style is better!
I think I want a loose updo. He also loves braids though too, so I saw this gorgeous bride over at http://www.stylemepretty.com/gallery/gallery/millie-holloman-photography+2820 and her braided updo is to DIE for! The photographer is amazing too. Thinking this may be a great compromise!
Just wondering if anyone knows of a good hair "thickening" product. This girl obviously has a totally different hair type from me, so I will have to test it a few times to see if this would even be possible. Isn't she a gorgeous bride though!? Had to share!
I wouldn't do all down hair style if your hair is as thin as you say it is.... I love the hair style in the picture with the braid..... also up is good for spring/summer weddings!
I have ridiculously poker straight thin hair. When my hair is wet I first apply a dollop of {ANTI GRAVITY} Oil Free volumizer. It smells lovely like lavender and keeps me relaxed feeling all day! Then when I want fancy hair, curls, etc with volume I use this little bubble looking bottle called {POWDER PUFF} also by Kevin.Murphy. It seriously does wonders to your hair! Give it so much volume that lasts till the next day!
It's a little more on the pricey side, but i get the pretty sexy volume I want - so to me it's kinda the "get what you pay for" idea :)
I really love the braids and the overall look in this picture. You could start the day with your hair like that and then let it down during the reception just before dancing so your husband can enjoy it whilst dancing close!
