Wedding Party
Our wedding party is as follows:
Maid of Honor: My sister, Susan
Best Men: His 2 brothers, Jared & Zachary
Bridesmaids: My sister, Jaclyn (junior bridesmaid); my FSIL, Sabrina; my cousin, Samantha; & my best friend, Angela.
Groomsmen: My brother, Georgie (junior groomsmen); my cousin, Adam; & my cousin, Dominic.
Flower girl: My cousin, Lana
Ringbearers: My cousin, Steven & our friend's son, Andrew.

The bridesmaids will be wearing David's Bridal Style #83312 (as shown to the left), in Lapis. It's a cute little knee-length dress, strapless, with a wide waistband. I think they are adorable and can definitely be worn again (and I'm not just saying that!!). I told them they can wear any shoes, as long as they are silver. And their hair can be done any way they want, even just down is fine.
The groomsmen will be wearing tuxes from Men's Wearhouse. The vest & tie are style #8853BLLPS. It's the Bella Luna Collection, also in Lapis. The rest of the tux will just be plain black, black shoes, etc. Drew will wear the same one in white.
We aren't yet sure about the flower girl and ring bearers. I am assuming the RBs will wear little mini tuxes, with white vests, like Drew's. And I can't wait to choose Lana's dress! But she's only 2 and will be 3 at the wedding, so we're gonna wait for a while on her because obviously she'll grow a lot.

Help from family
Our photographer is Ron Kochman, who happens to be my FMIL's cousin. He is so fantastic and is doing the whole thing as a gift to us. We just have to pay for the prints/albums we want, but even that he's only charging us at cost.
We drove up to Connecticut, where he lives, last week for an engagement shoot. We took a lot of great pictures and he posted them on his website: http://optiron.smugmug.com. Scroll down and click "Donna & Drew." We love them and are going to use for our favor boxes and centerpieces and stuff! We also hung out at his house with his family and had a BBQ. It was the first time (believe it or not, after 6 years) I had met Ron's daughter, Vicki, and her husband Ben, and their son Connor. Connor is 11 months and SO adorable! I am so glad I am marrying into such a great family. :)

Wedding Dress
My dream dress
I bought my dream dress in August 2008, 21 months before our wedding date! I went in to the David's Bridal with my mom and sister "just to look" and ended up buying the dress. I had looked on the David's Bridal website numerous times and this dress always stood out to me. While we were at the store, I tried on about 10 dresses, with this dress being the second to last one. It was clearly the best one. I love it SO much. Even my mom said that this was the only dress where my face "lit up." It is so simple, elegant, lacy, perfect! See pictures for everything that will go with it.
Today, I went to go buy a sash for it, in Lapis, and tried the dress in the store in my size and it was too small! I couldn't even walk. Which means, I have gained weight. Need to lose about 10 pounds or major alterations are in order.

Wedding Gift Registry
I love presents!
We are registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We have a lot of stuff already, because we've accumulated a lot of stuff over the course of the year and and a half we've lived together, but we still ended up registering for a lot. We want new stuff! Hahahaha!
We are also going to register at a honeymoon registry site. We can't really decide where to go on our honeymoon. Any suggestions? We don't want to spend too much money!

The Proposal
The Proposal
We've been engaged for over a year now, but I thought I'd share the story of our engagement. We were in Corolla, North Carolina staying at a beach house with my dad's side of the family. We were there celebrating my grandparent's 50th anniversary. They are the happiest couple I know, still love after all this time. :)
On our third day there, Drew asked me to go on a walk on the beach after dinner. My dad had been telling everybody, including me, that there was some sort of announcement he had to make after dinner to everybody. So after dinner, Drew said, "Ok, lets go to the beach." I initially said, "I don't want to miss my dad's announcement!!" (God, I'm so stupid...) My dad said he wouldn't be making the announcement till after 9:00 so we were fine. So we went to the beach and walked around a little. We were looking out into the ocean and I noticed that his heart was beating really fast. (Still clueless.) At one point, I said I wanted to go back because my feet were hurting me from walking in the heavy sand. He objected, saying he wanted to walk some more. Finally, he said he had to talk to me and got down on one knee, said some shpeel that I don't remember at all and asked me to marry him! He presented me with a beautiful solitaire diamond ring. I immediately said YES! As we were walking back to the house, he told me that my dad, mom, stepmom, sister, and his whole family knew what was happening and he had asked both my parents' permission weeks before (separately, because they are divorced). That's when I realized just what my "dad's" announcement was. As we walked up to the house, I saw my dad standing on the balcony of the house. This almost made me cry because I am so close to my dad and to see him up there, beaming, and in such enthusiastic approval of the man I would spend the rest of my life was so amazing to me.
The rest is great: my dad told me he had my sister, Susan, who was 18 at the time, standing in front of everybody nervously, like she was about to make an announcement. Everybody later told me they thought she was going to say she was pregnant. Yet, they had champagne? LOL We walked in, I had my hands in my hoodie front pocket, and said "Sorry!!" like we were holding up her announcement. My dad said, "ok, Susan, go ahead." She stood there for a few seconds, saying "Well..um..." And finally, Drew blurted out, "Okay, everybody, the real announcement is that I asked Donna to marry me and she said yes!" Everybody cheered and gave us hugs and kisses and wanted to see my ring. There was so much love in the room, and the champagne was really flowing. :) We then called my mom and Drew's family and told them the great news and they were very happy as well.
I felt like my proposal was not just about us, but our families and how much love there is there too. It was the most amazing day of my life, so far, of course. :)
