Wedding Dress
preservation
so i brought my dress in to get it preserved. for the box, cleaning, restoring, fixing, etc .... it cost $79!!! i think she made a mistake because it was suppost to be $79 for just the cleaning. extra for holding the veil & garter in the box and extra to buy the box! lol. she was like, "well, i dont know anything." ... la de da ... lets see if they catch it?

i got married!
as far as everything went that day, perfect. perfect is all i can say. i still re dream about that day of september 12th 2009 where i can slip into my dress again.
so, i woke up at 7:30 am and did my makeup. went to ulta to get my hair done. got to the church just in perfect time to get dressed and we took pictures for a few hours. then guests started to arrive 30 minutes early to get a seat. we had 130 guests. give or take. things went soo smooth. the only downfall for the day was that not one person, NOT ONE seen the guestbook area. which, was exactly where the favor bags were. so i got upset and my sister in law said that she got married 7 years ago and hasnt even looked at hers yet. she says she doesnt remember if she even got one. so, that made me feel a bit better. we stayed within budget. under $5,000 for everything. i DIY'ed everything everything everything. and with that, i now want to start my own mini business where i make flowers, programs, invitations, etc ... i had soo much fun doing it =] |

Wedding Flowers
happy but not sooooooo happy
wedding is saturday. but, i look at my flowers and they look soo blah. i want to have a bigger bouquet and add more stuff. i'm sick of daisies. lol. i'm thinking, for my black / pink wedding, that i still add in some other colors for my bouquet. i want it to be vibrant. but when i go to check silk flowers today, i can only look at the clearance flowers because the rest of the flowers are fall inspired. =] if i dont find any flowers that i want to use, i'll just use my gerber daisy and feather bouquet.

wedding planner
i loved planning my wedding soo much! i learned so much with no help from others besides hours of reseach on my own. so, in other words, i really want to be a wedding planner for very low budget brides / grooms. i'm hoping and praying somebody i know will get married SOON! lol. i'm really anxious to put new bouquets together, and new color schemes ... etc.
so, how would i really, honestly, go about doing this? as far as trying to turn this into a career? |

DIY Wedding
the last of our diy projects
i pretty much have everything diy done, except for the centerpieces. that'll come up sometime this week.
the memorial candle is an ivory candle because it'll match the vintage brown / golden frames we got for my dad and bobby's grandfather. we decided to have them stick out a little bit more instead of going white / black / pink / silver. the unity candle is pretty messed up. lol. for the taper candles i have one as a C and the other as an R even though the pillar candle says Cassondra and Bobby. hopefully nobody notices. the cardbox was just two circular hat boxes. i should of used fabric! i did a really crappy job on the wrapping paper, but i'm not a wrapping paper fan. whatever right? it'll be tossed after the cards are opened anyways. lol. the favors are alongside the escort cards. inside the little baggie is some chocolate hershey kisses. i wasnt even going to do favors until bobby's mom decided she must do them so i let her of course. inside each favor bag is a little photo sharing card that lets people know that we set up a website for everybody to dump their digital wedding pictures in =] gave them the username and password. at the very last minute, i forgot that the mothers needed flowers! so, i went looking around for gerber daisies and found none. i found roses, but i felt like the moms needed to stand out a little bit more. so, instead of doing pink and black, i did pink and purple. and waaaaaay different flowers. dont even ask what they are because i dont know. and lastly, our pomarian / kissing balls. i only made two. i researched for weeks to learn how to make them. which, is super easy. so, i did read that i can make 10 for under $80. boy was i WRONG when reading that. sooooo dead wrong! i ended up spending more than $300 on 14. wtf!! so, i only made two balls and returned the rest. i will put one on the end of the parents pew and one at the end of the grandparents pew. i just couldnt afford a last minute $300. so, to make two it cost me $66. still really horrible. i have no idea why i messed up soo bad with the kissing balls. i made all of my other flowers for under $30. i just dont get it ... lol. |

i'm doing my own
i made a face chart. i dont do neutral makeup. thats not my style. it makes me feel funny. if i wear neutral makeup, people will ask me if i'm sick because thats not me. so, i'm going to do a pale pink lip, pale pink cheeks, grey smokey eye that fades to a purple in the crease and brow area. i'm going to try the look out and see if it works with my new tan and if not, i'll have to figure out what else to do. ...

one week until my wedding! where did the time go! we've been soo busy with wedding stuff, its not even funny! how do i find time to shower or sleep?
pretty much everything is done. we have to ... - pick branches off the trees and spray paint them black. - bring the marriage licence to the pastor tomorrow at church. - pay the church and wedding coordinator on friday. - get my nails done. - & say I DO. thats it. thats it? - oh .. and pick up my dress. updates on what we have been working on in a bit |

Wedding Flowers
my diy bouquet and bobby's bout
i sat down the other night and finished up the flowers. my bouquet, which essentially looks like my bridesmaids but i added feathers to mine. and bobby's bout looks like his boys' but i replaced the black babies breath and the leaf for a black feather. i also added the shoes i got for $10 that sorta match my son's chucks, which he'll be wearing with his tux. my shoes however are for the reception if i cant stand my 4" heels any longer.

happy update!!!!!!
so i spent several hours today pulling apart the flowers that a florist made for me. i redid the flowers to my liking. my bouquet and bobby's bout isnt done yet. will be tomorrow night. so, basicly, i did these flowers all myself. never touched a flower before in my life [in this specific way], and i had a blast doing it all!
