I highly encourage every bride to at least take a shot at DIY stuff for their wedding if they are trying to cut costs. All of my materials were bought at Hobby Lobby. I bought a yard of hot pink satin material for $2.99. A yard was enough for my pillow, basket, and quite a bit left over. All the ribbon was on sale so I splurged a little and stocked up lol. After I made the pillow I just hot glued the ribbon on. It took less than an hour & less than $5 to make. For the flower basket, I just found a simple wooden basket at Flower Factory for $2 and hot glued the satin and ribbon on it. It also cost me around $5 in material. For the bridesmaid bouquet, I bought a bouquet holder for $4 and a bush of hot pink roses (which were on sale half off) for $3.50. The bouquet cost me just under $10 total. I found the cake cutter and server for a really good price, $3, at Flower Factory and just added some ribbon to spice it up. It definitely pays off to DIY!
