Breakfast at tiffany's bridal shower
Wanted to post some pictures of my Breakfast at Tiffany's themed bridal shower coming up in a couple of weeks. I am a control freak so I absolutley had to be involved in the planning. We finished all of the centerpieces today.
the table clothes are the tifany blue and there is a white gathered tool runner with crystals skattered along it. then in the center is the stacked Tiffany boxes. On the top is a big bling diamond ring! What do you think? I think they came out much better than my inspriation picture. So excited! |

It's Official...We've change our Colors
So after thinking long and hard about this, my Fiance and I have decided to change the colors. we are still going to do the Damask theme, of coarse! But, we decided to change the color fromyellow to red. I just don't think that yellow flowers are going to give enough "pop" to the tables with the type of fabric that I chose for the table runners. I know that red flowers will be really elegant and look amazing against the silk tafeta Damask print fabric.

Fabric for table runners
I am so excited! After weeks of looking for the perfect fabic to make table runners out of, I FINALLY found it. It is made of a tafeda and the Damask print is raised velvet. It is so luxurious. My fiance's Aunt has volunteered to make 30 table runners for dinner tables as well as runners for the candy Buffet, head table, and coctail tables in the room where we will be dancing. The fabic was an exceptional deal too. I purchased 15 yards for just under $100.
Now I am starting to reconsider the yellow accent color. Yellow is my fiance's favorite color, but now that I have the fabric, I'm not sure that yellow flowers centerpieces are going to look all that good. I feel like it needs a deeper color so that the flowers really pop against the fabric. I was thinking red. When I talked to Nico about my color changing, he said that first we had to buy some yellow flowers to confirm that the red would look better. I thought that was a good compromise. I think I'll get my way though. :) |

Damask DIY Frames
To all of you lovely ladies out there who found that amazing deal on the Damask frames at target for $1.00- I envy you. I went to at least 7 targets looking for them a month or so ago. I did however find these plain white 4x6 frames there on sale 2 for $1.24. I bought a few packages and starting brainstorming. I decided to you the clear and black Damask print packing tape that I had purchased and wrap the frames with the tape. They came out better than expected- in fact...I love them! So if you were like me and missed out on those target Damask frames or were not ablew to get as many as you needed, this is a great, cheap, and super easy DIY project. It took me less than a half hour to do 6 frames. Plus, because of the tape, they are super glossy.
I am going to use these frames on the candy buffet and for the bathroom basket poems. |

Coctail Napkins
Attention all Damask Brides! I found these really cute Damask print coctail napkins at Party City on clearance for $1.00 a package. You get 16 napkins in a pack. Yeah...I bought 23 packs- cleared that store out! I thought that these would add a fun touch to the coctail hour. Instead of the staff at the venue handing out coctails and hour'deauves (think I spelled that wrong) on the basic white napkins, figured that it would add to the enitre Damask theme to serve with these- plus they were really cheap. I think that they were cheaper to do then ordering our names printed on plain colored napkins. Great find!

Damask Wedding Bubbles
So I had this idea for my wedding bubbles, and I think that they turned out pretty darn good. I bought the tube stlye wedding bubbles at walmart (48 for $8.99), then I ordered this packing tape from Organizeit.com. It is clear packing tape with a black Damask print. I went ahead and wrapped each tube of bubbles with the tape so they now are completely covered with the Damask print. I think that I might go ahead and tie a yellow ribbon to the top of them- but so far...I really love how they turned out.

Ask a Question
Labels
Hi all of you lovely ladies,
Does anyone have any advise on getting labels printed? I'm debating whether to print them myself or have them printed. I just need the 2X2 size to put on my tin tie bags for the candy buffet. I want to either write our names and the date, or I saw a cute label on a candy buffet website that said, "How Sweet of you to Attend". Can't decide what to write. Anyways, my main question is have any of you found any websites that print labels out cheap? Otherwise, any tips on making your own? By the way...I ordered the tin tie bags for guests to put their candy in at Papermart.com. After a lot of searching, I found these were the cheapest. They were around $20.00 for packs of 100. |

Save the dates
Save the date Magnet from Costco
So, I received our save the date cards today. they turned out really cute. We did not do a damask theme for these. We wanted to make them really fun and different. We were at a wedding last week in seattle and stoped by a "Costco Business center" with the groom. They had an entire printing area with a whole table set up just for wedding invitations and save the date cards. We ordered them there because we do not have costco "business" in California. They had at least 20 books to chose from and the great part is- they were really cheap! costco takes 35% off all of the manufactures prices. we got 150 save the date magnets and printed address envelopes for $75.00- and they shipped them for free to my house! For any of you brides with a Costco business center in your neighborhood, you may want to check it out.

THE Garter
Found it
I finally found the perfect garter set on etsy. I think that it is so cute and will be perfect for my black and yellow damask wedding theme. thought that it would be a fun surprise from the typical baby blue and white garter. Plus, the back of the ribbon has blue on it, for my "something blue". Of coarse, it is hidden!
