Groom Gift
What do you think? Need suggestions...
So our wedding is still a bit away but I still have the Groom Gift on my mind. As if buying Christmas and Birthday presents wasn't hard enough, now I have to buy Jay a gift that is a keepsake from our wedding!

I have toyed with the idea of giving a watch. However, I have heard it is bad luck to give your significant other a watch. I have already purchased him cuff links which say Groom on them. They are just small, so I wanted to add a bigger gift to it. He loves his Ray Bans, and when we are in Mexico he usually buys about 10 pairs of the knock off ones. I came across these beauties on etsy.com and I thought they were pretty original.

What do you ladies think?

What is everyone else giving to their future hubbys?

Thanks ladies!

Wedding Party Gift Ideas?
Just wondering what everyone is doing for wedding party gifts?

I am giving my ladies a gift certificate to help with the cost of their dress. I was also thinking of getting flip flops for everyone, maybe a flask for the guys.

I'd love some extra ideas from everyone!

Who's having a destination wedding and a Jack & Jill?
So I was told yesterday that people who have destination weddings are not supposed to have Jack and Jills. People will view you as "money grabbers" or greedy. However, we are throwing a large reception at home for the people who came to Mexico, as well as for all those people who couldn't come to Mexico. The guest list is at 140 people, so I think this counts as something right?

My FH is a hockey player and has lots of beer drinking buddies that have said they be pumped for a JNJ, and he also wants to have one. I do too, as it is another wedding event, AND will be an awesome party and dance.

So what does everyone else think? Is everyone else having a JNJ?

Save The Dates on VistaPrint!
I ordered Save The Dates!

Ladies, you need to go to Vistaprint.com I'm sure a lot of you are already aware of this cheap website, but if you aren't, you need to go check it out! I ordered 70 of these, WITH evelopes for $10.49 plus shipping! They have great deals almost every day, so sign up for their e-mails and you will recieve discounts daily! Today I signed into my e-mail and it said, SAVE 100%, and so I immediately went and checked out the prices!

I was able to design the Save The Date myself, which was pretty fun. I added a Mexican Wedding Cookie recipe for a bit of fun as well. I'm going to hand Mexican Wedding Cookie's out as a favour for my Engagement Party, and add our Save The Dates with them; saves a bit on postage!

Anyway, just wanted to share this great deal, and also my beautiful Save The Dates! I'm very excited about them!

Fiancee's Birthday this week...what to get?!
HELP! It's my fiancee's birthday this week, and he is expecting something great! I made the suggestion of toning down our birthday's and Christmas this year, just because of the wedding. Well he got pretty quiet, so now I feel awful. I think he thinks because he went all out and bought me a ring, I should kind of return the favour. I honestly thinks he wants to feel special, because the whole wedding thing is really a girl thing. So now I'm stuck...

So far I'm thinking of buying him a nice pair of deck shoes, as he loves his shoes, and they are really popular right now. I was also thinking of adding some Grey Goose to the gift as well.

What do you ladies think? What would you do if you were me?

Table Number Idea!
We have THE most adorable english bully, who is basically our baby. LOL So I decided last night on a way to incorporate him into the wedding. This is not Hogan in the picture, but we will take photos of him with different Mexican accessories on. Our wedding is taking place in Mexico, and we will use these for the reception back home.

So what do you ladies think??

Is it tacky to send "Save The Dates" via e-mail?
So were trying to cut the budget back a bit, and I'm thinking the Save the Dates may need to be rethought. Is it bad if we send out a nice e-mail? Something somewhat professional off the net. We are having a destination wedding so we want to give everyone a heads up, but tonight when I brought the budget home the FH just gave me a look. Which....usually means, he's not impressed. LOL The picture we can attach is the one shown here. We had professional photos done last year, so at least the Save The Date would look a little classy.

So, do you ladies think I should send out my Save the Dates via e-mail? Tacky or no?

Wedding Dress
I bought THE dress!
So I bought the dress! I've been engaged for 2 weeks now, and the dress is checked off the list! Seems kinda fast, but man, when I put that dress on I knew! I didnt want to take it off, it felt so good.
I also bought a veil that is almost 10 feet long. It's soo beautiful.

After I bought that dress, I have no worries or stresses anymore. If people can't make it to Mexico, that's cool, I'm still getting to wear an amazing stress, hand made in Spain, and I get to walk down the aisle to my future husband, and have that Daddy/Daughter dance I've dreamt about my whole life.

Life couldn't get much better!

Wedding Dress
Ok, going to try on THE dress with my Mom. Hoping for "the moment"!
After finding a dress, that might possibly be THE dress, I called my Mom and made a plan to go back together. Her and my MOH are coming up this afternoon and were going back to try it in, and possibly others just to compare.
I've been thinking about it non-stop, it has been 2 days since then. I've shown all my friends, and they agree, it's beautiful, fits my body type so well, and the price is AMAZING. I had a quick reality check though, one bride on here made me think. Do you love it because of the price, or do you love it because of the dress. Honestly....it's the dress. The price is an extra perk.
SO, we will be at the shop in an hour or so, so I am really hoping my Mom and I can have that special "Mother/Daughter Moment" that people speak of.
I am very opinionated, especially when it comes to my clothes, but I need my Mom for this one.
So ladies...wish me luck...here's go nothin'!

A celebration of love, life and family. Looking forward to an amazing day in a beautiful setting, surrounded by our closest family and friends. I cannot wait to marry this amazing man. I never thought I could feel this way with someone, but wow, when it's real, it's for real. Looking to Mexico for a great deal of inspiration. The decor will consist of bright and bold colours such as orange, yellow, fuscia, dark purple, lime green and blue. Overhead paper lanterns, paper banners, and homemade flower balls will hang. The flowers will add bursts of colour on the crisp white linen tables. Followed by the scent of lime and coconut in the air...
