How long did you date before you got engaged?
1 1/2 years Did you get the ring you wanted? The ring James got me is amazing! I love it. Was the proposal a complete surprise? No, I knew that he was going to do it while we were in Spain, but I didn't know exactly when...he kept me hanging for a couple days...it was driving me nuts! Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? It is perfect! I wanted something a little smaller because I have such skinny fingers, but this looks perfect on me. Did you cry when he proposed? No, but he did =) I cried later when I called my mom to tell her. Was the proposal romantic or creative? We were in our hotel room, back from a fun night out at dinner and a bar. We were laying in bed talking, he started saying really cute things to me. I turned around to look at him, and he was on his knee. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? We actually are not going on one, we figure since we went to Spain for two weeks in April, that we should save our money. We are going to Disneyland with all of our friends and family the next day, I can't wait! Are you buying his wedding band for him? I am trying to save for it, but little things keep coming up. He will buy it if needed, but I would really like to buy it for him. We have already picked it out. Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Well, we never really had a 'budget', we are just having our dream wedding and what ever that costs us we have to deal with. None of our wedding is going on credit cards, so I am happy about that =) What day of the year will your wedding be? Friday, April 24, 2009 What kind of weather? Spring, Sunny with a nice breeze. Inside or outside? On a yacht with all glass windows Church/justice of the peace/other? Officiant who is a minister, and my uncle.. How many people will be there? We are aiming for only 85, but inviting about 135 Time of day? Yacht departs at 5:00, I walk down the aisle at 5:15. Any kind of theme? Nautical. We will have sea shells in the centerpieces and on the cake. How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 3 bridesmaids, my sister is the maid of honor. Then my 2 girlfriends, Julie and Quiana are my other two. What kind of cake/what will it look like? We have not picked the flavors yet, that will be shortly after the new year. I want 3 layers, mainly white with sea shell accents....we want a little bit of silver on it as well. Where will you have the reception? on the yacht What kind of dress will you have/color/material? It is all white, empire, A-line, strapless. It has some beading on the top, and then cuts off in layers at the bottom. What kind of flowers in your bouquet? White Stargazer and Cala Lily's Kind of engagement ring? White gold, 2K. It has a total of 19 diamonds on it. Kind of wedding bands? Mine is white gold with diamonds accross it which match my engagement ring. James' matches mine, white gold with diamonds How will you wear your hair? Half up and curly Who will be important to be there? Everyone!! We have so much family, and so many friends that mean the world to us! I have a couple friends that I am especially excited about =) Will the reception be big or small? Same as the ceremony What will the groom wear? Black tux with white underneath. He bought his Tux in Europe and had it custom tailored to him. It looks SO nice on him!! How long on Honeymoon? Not having one =) But I will have time off work, so that will be nice. What will you do? Relax Will it be modest or costly? Everything is costly! It is the wedding of my dreams! How old will you and the groom be? I will be 24 and he will be 34 How long will you be engaged before you get married? 1 year, 1 week Live together before or wait till married? We live together now. Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? I can't lie, I started planning and looking into things before he proposed. After he proposed, I got serious and started booking things. A lot is done, but we still have a lot to do. It's getting a little overwhelming now that we are into the less than 4 months mark... Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? Most of it is by myself. James has helped a bit. I always ask for his 2 cents. My mom and sister are always eager to help when I ask. Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? I have been reading several vows. We will probably take from several, and add in our own stuff. That is one thing we haven't really put thought into yet. |

We went bridesmaid dress shopping today, and within 45 min. had picked the dress! All the girls love it, and it looks great on ALL of them! I am so excited, it is perfect! The bow that you see in the picture will be tied in the back (it is one of those bows you can tie anywhere).

Wedding Dress
I got it!!!!
It needs to be steamed...it is wrinkly, but I love it!! It is exactly what I wanted :-) My favorite part about it is that it cuts off in layers at the bottom. I was a little hesitant to put a picture on here....my fiance has been on this site before......lets just cross our fingers that he doesn't now!! ****I had to delete the photo, I am too scared that James will peek******

Colors
They have changed
Okay so originaly, my colors were navy and champagne......well, after a lot of looking at favors and deciding on a yacht, they have changed to navy and silver.
There are too many variations of champagne, and just one "silver". I figured this would make my planning a little less stressful :-) I won't be using much silver, just as an accent. Also, on the yacht, the chairs have a hint of silver in them. So, with navy table linens, it will look really pretty! Gosh, it starts to get really exciting as things slowly start coming together! |

I haven't decided if I am aiming for the formal look, or the fun look. We are both cheesy and love to be ourselves, so I think fun would be more like us....but I want the overall theme of our wedding to be more elegant......I put a few photos of what I like....Obviously I would be changing the colors and photos.....
