WEDDING DAY SIXPENCE FOR YOUR SHOE! Fulfill your something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a Sixpence in your shoe! Pass this special tradition on to your daughter for her wedding day as her sentimental something old item.
Not sure if you ladies caught my post last week about March 1st being the day I would give a FREE Sixpence card away from my Etsy shop
Mon Amour Boutique to celebrate my one month of being open. Anyways, today is the day and I have a a giveaway if you answer a question correctly.
If you are the winner of this giveaway, you will be entitled to your own CUSTOMIZED SIXPENCE CARD in your colors of choice gievn I have the supplies. I have quite a bit so I should be able to accomodate you.
Even if you have already bought one or don't need it, they make a great gift for a girlfriend or family member as a wedding shower or wedding day gift. So I encourage you to play anyways and get involved.

The Sixpence is the fifth tradition followed after something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue ... and a sixpence in her shoe! The sixpence was given to the bride to wear in her left wedding shoe and was thought to bring happiness and fortune to the newlyweds after marriage. The lucky coin is to be stored away until you have a daughter in which you can then pass down on her wedding day.
The sixpence card will have an authentic lucky sixpence attached and a poem of it's history on the back. I will also pay for the shipping as long as it's within Canada and the USA. If you are from another location I ask that you pay the shipping costs. If you'd prefer something else from the shop rather than a sixpence consider these chic bridal suite signs.
So in order to win your own customizable sixpence card you must figure out the answer to this question.
(Q) Where is the first place Christopher and I ever travelled to?
NOTE: Once you guess the correct either country, province, or state, I will prompt you to guess an exact city. I also have a clue I will provide you as to why we travelled there specifically.
I KNOW IT MAY SEEM TRICKY AND MAY TAKE A LOT OF GUESSES, BUT I THINK YOU GUYS CAN GET IT!
hahaha i have no clue to be honest! I only said that because thats where i am from.
Hint please

Thanks for your message! I see you know all about the lovely tradition then of the Sixpence. These Sixpence coins are indeed genuine from the UK as they are shipped to me from a friend. These pretty cards are $12 and come with an authentic Sixpence on a lovely Keepsake card as seen above. The back also has a poem on the back that describes the tradition of the Sixpence and it's history.
The cards come in a variety of styles and color combinations to suit a brides wedding theme or colors. If you do not see one in the brides colors, I also make custom cards so do not hesitate to ask if you do not see any you like. You may click here at to check out the shops selection! Hope to have something perfect for your summer weddings :)
