DIY Wedding
Want to Learn how to make these Pretties?!?

Ladies, these things are so darn cute, you can use them about any where and they only take a couple minutes LITERALLY.

I put a pink one on on top of my MOH's Birthday gift today and she died when she saw it. She asked me where I got it, and didn't believe me when I said I whipped it up in minutes! I had to give her a crappy demo with the restaurant napkins at Olive Garden. lol

So here it is the step-by-step on how to make these. They are so cute and could be used anywhere in your wedding. They are so pretty and romantic - they look identical to peonies. You could even make mini one's for the top of favor boxes!

Step 1: Find your desired color tissue paper to match your theme. Stack four sheets of tissue on top of each other in 10" x 5" squares.

Step 2: Make 3/8" accordion folds, creasing after each fold. It is easiest to make one fold, flip it over, make the other, and repeat, so you are always folding up away from you and it's easy to see.

Step 3: Take an 18" piece of dental floss and slip over the center of the folded tissue. You can make slits on either side of the fan - be careful not to cut it in half. Tie the the string tightly through the slots . Using sharp scissors, trim the ends of the paper into rounded or pointy shapes. Also trim excess string or floss.

Step 4: Separate the four tissues layers, one at a time until the flower begins to take shape. Depending on what you will use them for, you can keep the bottom flat or you can puff them into a ball for hanging.

There ya go ladies, it's that easy. I hope yours turn out as pretty as mine did! Have fun with this DIY, and if you don't find somewhere to use them for the wedding day, you can always add them to your bridesmaids gifts, any gift in general, at a shower, or rehearsal dinner. The possibilities are endless!

illusen ... they definitely could be an alternative to real flowers. Instead of floss you can use florist wire and green florist tape to make stems. They look so close to Peonies, they'd be pretty!

I made one for my mom tonight in a couple minutes while watching my brother play hockey on tv and she was just so amazed lol! She loved it ... ha ha
