Wedding!!

Wedding Dress
I bought the dress
So the dress that i originally wanted to get, didn't work so well for me and I ended up finding something way more beautiful and amazing. I wont be posting pictures because I don't want my FH to see it and its a surprise to everyone else.
Its a drop pick up dress, ivory and is very long. My veil is a cathedral style and I will of course be wearing a tiara =) I am so excited everything is finally coming together. All that is left to do is order the cake, invitations and flowers but I have more than enough time to worry about that! I wish we were getting married a whole lot sooner.. we've been engaged for over a year now and I am so ready for the wedding to get here! Hope everyone is doing well =) |

Wedding Dress
I have found my dress
It was love at first site when I browsed the magazine that I got.. I couldn't take my eyes off it. I know that this is the dress that I am going to wear. I have yet to go and try it on, finding time to do that this weekend. I just love this dress, I have tried on dresses very similar and have loved them to pieces but just couldn't afford it. This is most definitely in my price range and is simply gorgeous. I can not wait until I own this beauty!
I love it, I love it, I love it.. Has anyone else just looked at their dress in pictures and fell in love just looking at it??? |

Wedding Decoration
Need help choosing a color scheme
Hi ladies! Ok I am need of some serious help.. I for some reason can not nail down the color scheme. I know without a doubt that I am having fuchsia pink as the main color but I don't know what else to do. I was going to have a hot orange but given the way the hall is so beautifully decorated I don't want to take away the fanciness of it.
Would a dark shade of pink, then a light shade of pink with white work well. My wedding is in June so its just the start of summer here in Michigan. Any color advice would be great :) The picture with this blog is a picture of the wedding favors that I am using basically the same shade that I am going for right now. Thanks for your help ladies, I hope everyone is coming along with the rest of their wedding plans. |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
My fiance upgraded my engagement ring!
I have most definitely abandoned my blog within the past couple of weeks. I have just been so busy and unfortunately sick :( But I am getting better and have some big news to share!!!
My FH loves me so much that he decided to go ahead and upgrade my engagement ring to a one caret princess cut diamond. It's a whole new ring now!! It sits up so much higher and is just exactly what I wanted the first time around.. he was in so much of a rush in the beginning and didnt have the job that he had now that he had to ask me with something not much smaller but still wanted to make me very happy this time around. I love him, he always gives me exactly what I want, in may not be right away but I still get it. That's what I love about him. That's why I always tell my dear friends, you cant always get what you want right away.. give it time and eventually you will. The wedding plans are finally undergone and we have a majority of things pretty much booked. Were meeting with a DJ this weekend, (we actually won an upgraded package from them at a recent bridal show I attended so I am sure were going to go with them) and I will just have to check out my flowers and decro and I am all set to go. Besides the dress but were looking once it gets warmer out and there are bigger sales because of the economy. So far were still way under budget :) and haven't gone over. I know we can make this a beautiful wedding under 10k :) |

So excited :) We booked our photographer tonight!! I can't wait for Clint to do our pictures, he is just simply amazing.. his photo's made me cry! Plus were going to have a beautiful engagement session this June at Gull Island in Lake St.Clair :)

Wedding Business Cards
Hi Ladies - I know I said I was taking a break but I couldnt resist.. it's just too hard you know. Anyways, while doing some researching at work for a project I am working on, I came across some business cards that vista print is offering free this month. Being that I work in marketing, my creative self thought that this would be a great idea.
Since I attend all these bridal shows, I thought this would be a great idea when putting out my information to win free stuff and get information. For 250 its only $9.99 I don't think I can pass this up! Do you think it's a chessy idea? I think it's a lot better than fighting all the other brides to put out information down to get free prizes and stuff. What are your thoughts? P.S The cards look super cute, but because of security reasons I whited out my info.. |

Taking a break
Planning is a bit overwelming
I haven't posted in a while because right now, I'm taking a two week break from all this planning. It's just become overwhelming and I know that it's still way to early for that. We have over a year and half to worry about everything so anything wedding related I'm leaving it up to my FH because I just cant deal with it right now.
Everything is becoming such a money issue for me. For some reason, I feel we aren't going to make it and once we get married were going to struggle to keep ourselves afloat. Were young, not so young 23 and 24 but still, nobody wants to start a marriage with money issues. The economy is in the shitter and my fear is that it's just going to get worse before it get's better. I need to stay more positive and by doing so is just not worrying about the wedding right now. So I'll be back in 2 weeks! |
