seriously ....budget is the hardest part. The parental units aren't made of money, we both work full time and are doing our best to save all we can. 17 months to go and I'm thinking we need at least a budget of 5,000. I've commissioned two good family friends who happen to be the queens of deco and planning. there best friends and like a twin tornado of perfection (thank god for them) and the hairpieces, the table center pieces and the invitations and thank yous and 'save the dates' are covered other than buying the fabric/flowers/and such to create them all. I'm confident that I CAN BE A DIY bride! :) venue...man o man i have always wanted to be married in a vineyard in the afternoon with a evening ceremony surrounded by twinkling lights and the smell of Merlot (i have Cadillac taste with a Honda budget I'm aware.) I also live in a rural area of Oregon so there really are some awesome places to consider. I want a classic wedding with a splash of fun and color. Its going to possibly be a 200 person event so i really need some tips here...ANY ideas would be appreciated greatly. My colors are dark teal, jewel toned purple, and chartreuse but they will be mellowed out with chocolate and gold hues. i didnt want to do a peacock wedding because they are so popular but i think the invitations, hair pieces and a few scarce peacock feathers mixed into the centerpieces will do fine :) I'm also extremely happy that mom myself and the twin tornado will be creating a brooch bouquet out of gerbera daisies orchids and family brooches as well as continuously searching this next year at every antique store, thrift store and garage sale we see! I'm so excited! now only 500 and some odd days to go!
The ideas you have already sound great and your colors sound gorgeous. Sounds like you're off to a good start! Happy planning!
I love your inspiration. Gorgeous theme!
