Wedding Decoration
Our church decor, with my DIY flowers
My wonderful WBC friend Rhonda pointed out that I didn't post any church decor pics. So here are a few,
our amazing pastor is 6'4 tall so the actual pulpit is way too small for him. The church was built in the late 1800's so the Men at the time didn't grow so tall. So he uses an everyday music stand witch was a little ugly so i covered it with extra isle runner. the next 2 pics are before the isle runner was laid out for my walk down the isle. and the final was the pew end One of the 18 I made. What do you think Ladies... just a little decor goes a long way. I think anyway |

Blessing from beyond?
Our wedding was wonderful, but I felt bad for Len because he has no family, So when our pastor asked about family standing behind us ....
again I felt bad, until I saw this Picture, Have a look on Len's shoulder, there is a light with a rose in it that no other pictures captured or nobody saw at the time. And yes for skeptics, there are stain glass windows in our church..... But what are the chances that the light hit right there, right then? After seeing this photo, I feel as if Len wasn't as alone as I felt he might be. |

I made this!!!
So Now I know why wedding cakes are so $$$$ I decided to try my hand at making my own, with a recipe from Rhonda (rodrhonda4ever)
for butter cream icing and some books and you tube I did OK but it was A LOT of work !!! People where so surprised that I made it myself. I must admit I'm pretty proud of how it all turned out |

LOST XS 2 Len's ring day of our wedding
OK So We both know we are truly blessed to have found each other, at our age.
Well if this doesn't prove that God was watching over us, nothing will. after our beautiful reception We and some of our friends and Family went to Len's and my Favorite Karaoke bar. The D.J. dedicated a song for us so we got up to dance, Then It was my turn to sing, when I sat down Len says honey Ive LOST MY RING!!! OH NO! so the whole table gets up to start looking, when the D.J. comes over and hands the ring to Len and says this might be yours.... WOW soooo lucky well later again a regular customer, who we know from the bar dedicates a song to us so we get up again..... this time we don't notice the ring is gone, until someone taps me on the shoulder( I don't even know if its a man or woman) Puts the ring in my hand and says this might be yours!!!!! That blew my mind! His ring is not cheap, we where so lucky to get it back not once but twice!! That will be some story to share in years to come. |

SOOOO ANGRY!!!!!
Ok I am not usually an angry person, especially when it comes to Friends but sorry Girls, I need to vent.....
So that pretty little party room We had our reception in was great, only $100.00 we get back if the room is clean with no damage, Well Thanks to a guest who doesn't know his limitations, The small Microwave got Dropped yes Dropped!!!! Our friend from Church,( I'll just call A.) Had a childhood accident which has resulted in a frozen arm, that is useless. An other guest who was helping with the clean up didn't know that or him, so asked if he could put the Micro back on the counter. as We had put it on the floor to make more counter space. A. at first said sorry I'm not able, and the other guest said o.k. i'll get someone else, Just as I walked into the Kitchen....I told A. DO NOT TRY A..... there are loads of ppl to help, well he had to be a macho jerk and try to lift it, and I said again NO DON'T!!! and he tried AGAIN,... So I said wait I'll help Ill take a corner, well guess what??? He Dropped it!!! Well need less to say, now we don't get our $ back and because of that our rent may bounce!! I called A and told him how upset we where, and he just said.." what am I suppose to do??" I should feel sorry for him, but he knows he's handi capped, and knows his limitations, he was just being Macho for the good looking woman at our reception.... Len was so upset today that I had to tell him to go for a walk while I spoke to A. He offered to pay us his next payday... were are at a loss at what to do... |

Wedding Decoration
London Cab/ what a Hot mess that was!!!!
every wedding has its glitches... but our transportation was really wrong,
To start off he had to change the schedule a bit, ( a story for an other time) So He picked the Men up here at home, and dropped them at the church, IN the middle of the road in traffic! finally got to the hotel for me, and "forgot" that he was a taxi and sat in traffic when he could have used the Bus/ Taxi only lanes to by pass a lot of it. Then He was wanting me to get out in traffic too, when I told him the side door would be better, of a side street and we could get photos better there, he replied I was told this address so here is where you get out! So I was 10 mins late... and no time for photos... I figured he'd get a clue, or grow a brain and move the car.... but he didn't Then after for photos We all hopped in and he asked so where is the park you wanted to go??? WHAT? is he for real? Plus I asked for him to wait because the others where mostly from OOT and didnt know the way so they want to follow ( which is normal right?) for the photos and the honking etc... anyway We gave him directions and he Still got lost! I was so Pissed !!! Then My daughter called Len's cell and asked where the heck we where, that everyone went to the reception hall instead,So I said forget the park we'll go to the hall.... and again he needed to ask the way.AND still got lost!! Keep in mind the whole wedding day was literally in a 12 block radius, and so is the Cab company with in it too. And to add insult to injury, When we rented the Cab in June it had a cracked windshield, and I asked if it would be fixed, and it wasn't!!! So I didn't get a lot of the shots we really wanted, I was so Mad I asked the driver what time it was by his watch and dismissed him, not giving ANY tip Monday I wrote a LONG email to the owner and told him how unhappy I was... and that I would not recommend him to others, because of my experience, and added " which is too bad since I am a wedding Planner Part time By trade" He replied right away, that he would take my Half up front payment as "Payed in Full" and hoped that would satisfy me, and said he would definitely talk to his driver. So Lesson learned Here Ladies.... if not happy , DON'T sit by and do nothing.... |

Wedding Dress
Tux drama, so stressed......
OMG Yesterday We went with the boys to pick up their tuxes along with Len, so when Len was changing back I went to pay the balance.... I thought was just a few cents under $80.00 so we had it set aside.
Well imagine my surprise when they said $189.00!!!! WHAT?? I tried to tell them no way but they said that was the balance!!! So it meant A.J. my 12 year old would have to go back on Saturday morning with the remaining money to pick up his suit. I knew they made a mistake!!!! I checked my bills because I went 3 different times over the last few months to put money on them so it wouldn't hurt to pay it all at once. well they didn't add in one of my payments, because Len's tux was filed wrong.... Not only not in his name but they spelled my name wrong with an N instead of H what a drama! I had to rush back to fix it with all my papers In the end Not only did I get A.J.'s tux they owed me $60.00 in return! So Lesson Learned Ladies Keep every and all receipts |
